Old Book Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I love the Shivering Isles. And I hate that a fully modded out Tamriel is 1000x crazier than the Isles. People just don't seem to add stuff to the Isles, which is a shame, as they are genuinely awesome, and certainly the natural home of mods like Hentaimania that make no sense whatsoever in Tamriel (and I say that as a fan of Hentaimania). The only Shivering Isles stuff I really tend to use is: Integration: http://theelderscrolls.info/?go=dlfile&fileid=349 The best mod that heavily uses the Isles, adds all sorts of quests and NPCs, a player house, and a few locations. Sheogorath Accords of Madness: http://www.theengineeringguild.co.uk/ or http://www.theengineeringguild.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78:sheogoraths-accords-of-madness-v141&catid=25&Itemid=129 You may need to look around a bit, the site tends to get reshuffled. An ambitious attempt to give you stuff to do in the Isles after you become Sheogorath. It's a bit incomplete feeling, but at least there are a few things to do and changes to see once you're the big cheese. Wrye Shivering Death: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28561 Simple and barely makes any changes, but now once you're a Daedra, you're a frickin Daedra. You can't die. Death just sends you back to the Waters of Oblivion. You swim to the surface and return to your place of power in the isles to reclaim your worldly goods. So, does anyone recommend anything for the isles? Mods that add cool quests, cool monsters, cool NPCs, cool anything?
gregathit Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I personally use and like: ZuTheSkunks SI overhaul (see link below): http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34245
Old Book Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 That looks pretty interesting. Haven't tried it because it probably interferes with Accords of Madness. OTOH, Accords of Madness may never be completed, so Zu's mod might be worth a shot. I should also have mentioned David Brasher's Root System as an interesting SI mod. It creates a giant root dungeon under the isles. No quests, but lots of monsters and treasure.
snarfies Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I was just considering posting the same topic, actually. I have The Shivering Isles Sadists and the Museum of Torture (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39840), as well as the Bondage Addon for Museum of Torture (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39902), but I haven't nipped over to the isles to see if they're any good. The Drider Daedra lair at the Shivering Isles looks of interest as well (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40159).
Old Book Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 @Snarfies - Yup, those look interesting and I haven't tried them. Temple of Zealots is a pretty good quick hack & slash from the modder who did the Ancient Towers. Nothing amazing, but there's a bit of a story, some spells and a new weapon. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11323
snarfies Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Just tried intalling Accords of Madness - but it appears that the mere presence of anything to do with CURP causes my game to freeze on the loading screen, and CURP doesn't even DO anything on its own. Pity.
Old Book Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Sorry to hear that. I use the full upgrade overhaul on Giskard's website, and it has always been pretty much bug free for me even as part of an FCOM install. Wryebash has no problem knitting it together with other overhaul mods. Oblivion is finicky, unfortunately. Maybe if you put in the full overhaul?
Iris86 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 well, there are very few stuff to go on the isles because, well, almost no one has that expansion, or consider it not important, just look at me, i installed first hentaimania 1 & 2, sexy maid of chorrol, claudia little secret, oblivion more missions, gamervania or whatever that castle name is, 2chlives, and all that stuff before even bothering to install shivering isles, knights of the nine, fighters stronghold, thieves den and all the other "official" plug-ins, man, as a gamer girl i'm a failure, and sheogorath shrine works even if you don't have the expansion installed (different VA tough), and a lot of modders are working on skyrim mods even if it hadn't been oficially released yet, still, nice compilation of mods, i don't play in the isles yet, there is still a lot to see in cyrodil to be in another place (with all the things i added to cyrodil that is)
