the issue only arises when I am trying to run with Skykids enabled, I have tried both the manual and NMM install methods for various packages. I have posted this on the mod's page as well, but am a bit impatient so I figured i

ok, ran that and to be totally honest, I have no clue what any of it means. Then again, I do not really know how to operate TES5Edit. But I am not seeing any warnings popping up anywhere.

I am not familiar with SkyKids, however.

CTD that early in the game is usually missing masters. However, if you have run LOOT and it lists no errors you may be experiencing a problem with exceeding your animation limits, Run FNIS and post a screenshot of what it says when it is complete.

Finally, what mod manager are you using. Most of them will indicate a missing master without any real work (for example, Nexus Mod Manager will display a mod in red if it is missing a master - in the load list).

Errors are displayed in the right column when loading, you can scroll up that message window if you didn't see any and if none are listed then there are no missing dependencies and this is not the cause of the crash.

Double check you installed the correct scripts for the race compatibility as there are several.

The game may have generated a papyrus log which could help narrow down the problem.

If you just want to have non potato head kids or playable children this is a good mod and does not have any requirements other than the dlcs you already have https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55555/
