Hanging NPCs by wrists - How do? (SOLVED)

Recommended Posts

Ahoy.

I want to hang followers and NPCs from the ceiling with chains!

A couple mods have slaves hanging by their wrists, like the Sex Slaves mod, but I never figured out how to do it elsewhere.
I assume it has to do with Zaz animations and devious devices, and maybe some static mesh placer. Can anyone show me the way?

Like, I want this more than I want TES 6. Well almost that much. Picture below!

I'm on Skyrim SE by the way

*EDIT* Here's what worked for me.

The Jaxonz Positioner mod was the key, along with this command i found in a random thread. "coc zbftestzone" which teleports you to the Zaz test zone where alllllll the furniture is placed out. Pretty horrific place if i'm honest, lol.

I went to the test zone and used Jaxonz Positioner to "copy" furniture I wanted to my inventory. (press NumEnter to select an object, then Num* to make a copy, and Num- to take the item.)

Then went home and dropped the furniture item on the ground like you would any item. After that, you can position it using Jaxonz.

Finally, I'd instruct my follower to sit on it by first holding E with my follower targeted then selecting the furniture.
After they're using the furniture, I used "setrestrained 1" to keep them from moving and also parted ways so they wouldnt follow me to new locations when i teleported.

This persists through game sessions. So, not only can you leave the area, but you can also close the game (assuming you saved) and load the save to see your follower in the same position. ;)

For Paradise Halls slaves, you need to make sure they're in "follower mode" before you make them sit. The dialogue is "From now on you will fight for me"

Hope this helps someone. Thanks Psalam.

I was going to suggest that you go on the ZAP8 thread and ask T.ara until I saw that you were on SE. You might want to try the ZAP8 thread with Pfiffy then. I have always found him to be helpful. Remember that ZAP8 is a modder's resource and he is most likely just going to refer you to a mod that does just that. I know that you can get similar, not identical, effects with Home Sweet Home by Musje using ZAP8 in LE. I would assume that gets carried over into the SE version.

Alright thanks :) I'll try posting on that thread. I also have Home Sweet Home, I think, so I'll take a look at that too!

If you have HSH all you need to do is put a house cell token someplace. Then you get the spells for placing "furniture." It takes some time to go through all the choices Musje has given you but I believe that you will find something that suits. I happen to like hanging mine from the Aspen tree. ?

Okay I'm trying to follow along here and did a lot of searching for more info.
First, was looking for house cell tokens, but the only thing I could find was another mod that mentions them called Paradise Halls. Do i need to get this mod? :O

And then once i've placed the token I get spells for playing furniture? Is that how it workssss

If you have Home Sweet Home (which you said you thought you had) then Paradise Halls is a hard requirement for it (as in yes, you must have it). The House Cell Tokens come In Home Sweet Home though, not in Paradise Halls. If you're eager to get started with furniture then I would suggest that you: 1) load Paradise Halls and Home Sweet Home (and the various mods required to run those two). 2) Take the whip from Farengar's study (provided by PAHE) and go out and make a slave (it's a little more complex than I'm making it sound but all you need to know is on the PAHE modpage). 3) Use the console (or the mod Add Item Menu (AIM) found on Nexus) to add a House Cell Token found in the HSH mod (normally purchased at the Restless Hunter - this information is on the HSH modpage). Take the slave and the House Cell Token to a secure indoor location (I happen to like Dragonsreach for this but it does not have to be there). Place the House Cell Token somewhere convenient for you (that is, some place you're not going to keep tripping over it). When it's placed you will receive a notification that you have two new spells allowing you to add and remove "furniture." 4) Have lots of fun going through your choices and discovering all the interesting devices in which you can place your slave.

Blimey, after hours I realized I got HSH mixed up with "My Home is Your Home", then realized HSH was an expansion for Paradise Halls and not an independent mod.
I installed Paradise Halls and it worked fine on SE, but HSH isn't compatible at all T_T.

Thanks for the instructions. I did try to follow them but misunderstood. This is my first time using LL mods for Skyrim so I dont know all the creators and mods yet. My fault.

I went through the ZAP meshes though, and found ones under Animated Objects called "ShackleChainPrison" and "ShackleChainPrisonUpsideDown". I'm wondering if those are what I need, but have no idea how to access/use them. I'll keep asking around today. The thrill of the chase, and all that.

If you look on the ZAP8 thread by T.ara you will find that he (T.ara) and others have given other ways to place furniture (such as with Jaxonz positioner). These, however, I have no experience with.

If you are not familiar with LL find ZAP8 in the search engine (evidently you already know where it is) and hit the Get Support button. You can go to the end and ask your question, or you can scroll though the support thread, or you can use the search engine (make sure you choose "this thread", while on the support thread if you choose this option - it's how I usually do what you're doing).

Finally, you probably got the LE version of HSH. I am certain that there is an SE version, or maybe not, I did a search and didn't find it.

Anyway, good luck and have fun!
