Ah, yes. I had recently downloaded some trait mods.

Mods are from here https://www.kawaiistaciemods.com/downloads and they're the trait mods v1/v2/v3

I had also downloaded the better schools mod from the same website.

 

After receiving the error, I had saved and continued playing. It had just changed the sim I was interacting with to another, but hasn't caused any other issues since.

I'd try again without the V1,V2,V3 trait mods,they are all pre game update so they are probably buggy,also delete localthumbcache.pkg file whenever you add or delete mods or cc.
