CK papyrus compiler oddity

Hi Folks,

 

hopefully someone  in this lovely community has a solution for this.

 

I've been happily using CK to compile my scripts for a good while now and then out of nowhere it started to fail whilst compiling scripts and spits out a .pas file.

I tried re-downloading it from the bethesda launcher, which fixed it for a short while but then it started happening again.

 

Very odd and annoying! I'm now worried I might have a virus or something. I did add a recent version of Bethini to my exclude list as it threw what I assumed was a false positive. Other than that I'm pretty sure my system should be clean.

 

Any suggestions much appreciated

 

Edit: Just did a file check in beth launcher and it fixed something again- scripts compile fine again now but I'd like to know what could be messing it up, something changing a config file?

Hmm just checked on Nexus and Bethini has been flagged as suspicious there

BethIni is clean, don't worry. Someone compiled the source and counterchecked the VirusTotal results and they were the same, so nothing is being injected at runtime and the code itself is clean.

Also no virus would fuck with the CK for lols sake or anything, I don't know why your compiler keeps spazzing out but it's not that.

Haha yup I just had no idea why CK suddenly started acting weird out of nowhere and wierd behavior can often mean virus

 

I've since discovered that if I have bethesda.net launcher running it works fine, if not it does this weird pas file thing and fails. So I'm guessing I need to find a way to stop it checking whether the launcher is running or fire up that program every time I use CK.
