NPCs spawning with ZAZ / DD collars equipped (No like, need help!)

This actually has been a long standing problem I've had but until recently it's only been a minor annoyance:

My NPCs sometimes spawn in with Zaz / Devious collars equipped (and sometimes will just acquire them later after a cell update).

I'd prefer it if they didn't do that at all - prefer it if they spawned with no Devious Devices or zaz equipment of any kind in fact.

Here's a load order - I've removed mods I'm 100% certain can't be the cause :

I'm not asking for anybody to dig through a bunch of files or teach me how to edit anything - but if you happen to know which one of these guys is adding Collars to my NPCs and Followers when they spawn in, I'd appreciate it if you could point it out.

Thanks :)

In your mod list i not see a mod that can make this.

Have you make a test in a NEW GAME???

If problem happend in a NEW GAME probably is a mod making it.

If problem disapear in a NEW GAME can be for trash in your savegame or bad configuration of a MCM.

If problem happend in a NEW GAME disable mods until the problem disapear.

If you disable ALL your mods, excep the core game and the main mods of DD, and the problem persist can be for trash in your skyrim directory caused by bad mod installation or un-installation.

I have this problem sometimes, one when my NMM crash in the midle of a installation time ago.

Another when i manually re-mod a mod.

Yeah I'm running through this now - always new games.  But this could be many hours of testing before i find it.  I'm turning off mod after mod.  But if someone can see a mod that's causing it and just point it out that could potentially make my search many hours shorter.

I should add I think it's only ZAP items that are being added, only collars, and not always, only occasionally.

I have a feeling something is adding these collars to the leveled lists, or adding them by script.

Hopefully not the latter because that'll be very difficult to fix I think.

You can try the DIRECT WAY... is not waranty success but some times work.

DIRECT WAY:

If the problem happend in cell change, simply enter and exit from a cell to another until the problem appear.

In the exact moment that you see any of your folowers equiped with the collar, inmediatelly load your last savegame and make exactly the same things.

If the process is repeated, verify it again, load and repeat, and another, load and repeat, for be sure is not an aleatory thing.

When you have a game saved in a position that the problem happend with security, disable mods and load your savegame until the problem disapear.

This can cause problems because maybe your game not load always with mod's disabled.

Update - Found it.  searched specifically for one of the actual item names that was equipped.  That actually returned usable search results.

Culprit is:

SexLab - Sexual Fame [SLSF].esm

There is a setting that equips Devious Devices on random npcs if it determines they have a "submissive" fetish.  One of those item types can be collars.  This setting can actually be toggled off (in the MCM under "Customization NPC"), which stops npcs from spawning with random collars.

Well hidden feature I never knew the mod had.

I never install and test SexLab - Sexual Fame [SLSF].esm...

This site have hundreds and hundreds of mods.

I very dificult know all and know the problems that generate.

Specially when start to mixing it.

Its ok!  hardly anyone can be expected to know all these mods.  The important part is you tried to help, and your advice was all good - nothing was a wrong procedure.
