Something tells me the games going to end up with everyone in the best light/heavy armor (assuming bethesda doesn't continue it's tendency to dumb down and have a single armor catagory) with the best daedric or enchanted weapons.

Done right, this could be a great game... But that can be said for most MMOs of a genre that one likes.

We'll have to see how they deliver on their promises, and more importantly how fast they update because - let's face it, nobody likes a game that does not evolve... Or evolves too much too fast.

5 quick buttons. WTF? I am played all TES games like Mage/Assassin hybrid and 8 slots weren't enough. Now they dropped it down to 5...

Stats exactly like in Skyrim. That sucks. I miss variety of stats from previous games (not to mention 3 different types of weapon damage from Morrowind). Something, tells me that Bethesda will continue it's tradition for reducing the amount of armor slot (it'll be just one).

One mega-server. Guys, you have obviously never played EVE Online. 1000 vs. 1000 fight causes a few hours lag. Multiply this with amount of bugs which supplement each TES game and this is gonna be the most bugged game ever (Daggerfall can finally rest in peace).

Well, PvP sounds not bad, just EVE in TES setting. The only really positive thing is this in-game filter - exactly the reason I'veleft MMORPGs - noobs, kids, leavers just spamming to death with bullshit in local chat.

Is it gonna be classless system? In that case we would have 85% of chars playing like ultra-mega-whatever-the-shit assassin just for PWNing. And that sucks completely.

With the way modern games are going with ease in the future it's just going to be a game that installs itself and you win. There's only so much of the masses you can gain the attention of with a media anyway.

I miss the danger, scope, socialization and specialization of old school mmorpgs (not the grind), too bad that's behind us.

lol it's as if he was reading straight from the marketing teleprompter. He should find an infomercial job or something.

Bethesda can't even make an unbuggy singleplayer game let alone a multiplayer with all the features Mr. superduper hyped above.

Okay.

So everyone will play on one big server? What if that goes down? And the use of phasing to keep kids with kids and adults with adults is a great idea...provided you can actually prove the kids aren't just lying and saying they're 25. And did he really say an alternative to actively laying siege to a fort is starving them out? What, are they going to make it so my character has to eat and drink in order to survive? Or are they talking about the NPCs? And what's to stop someone from just running out and corpse jumping their way to safety, getting supplies and corpse jumping back in order to feed everyone? It's like they don't intend on letting us respawn where we died, or when we die our equipment is up for grabs. And seriously, fuck both those ideas.

Every time this guy says something that makes me hopeful, there's this little voice in the back of my head pointing out all the flaws. And these aren't small flaws, either. I guess it remains to be seen, but they have a long way to go before I'm convinced this is worth a monthly fee.

IDEA FOR GAME: We list all of the lies Bethesda has told about past games to hype them.

"Radiant" AI in oblivion anyone ?

Fallout 3 wouldn't be "Oblivion with guns" anyone ?

Actually Im surprised noones modded magic back into FO3, the engine still supports it afterall, all those stat boosting clothes are basically enchanted via the same mechanic as in Oblivion, but with guns too.

I wonder why nobody modded guns in Skyrim. Such CK functions like SetNPCRadio, GetPlantedExplosive along with prad and bunch of GetVATS functions are still in the game.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone mods a gun in Skyrim. I mean' date=' it has crossbows now, so it's even easier than before.

Too late - already done. Do a search for rifle on Nexus and you'll see several different "rifles" - some arrow/bolt based, some steel bullets. Hell there's even a "shotgun" (really a blunderbuss).

[EDIT] "pistol" search brings up 4-6 variants on the flintlock pistol... [/EDIT]

ES: Online... meh.

It's an MMORPG, and MMORPGs are just a very static genre. Devs can make better MMORPGs, but they're still MMORPGs and therefore have all the limitations and elements that every other MMORPG has. It predict the meat of the game will be a grind along with the same old questing systems of nearly all MMORPGs of the past. Even GW2 can't escape this formula. I could be completely wrong about ES: Online though. We'll have to wait and see.

For the lore sake, i'll definitely buy it. :D

When we speaking of lore that would be storyline like dark brotherhood group quest, Thief guild heists, Fighter guild raid quest, racial factions - racial tensions, Classes, birthsigns and other tasty vanilla. I don't really play oblivion and skyrim for nudity anymore so Elder scroll online are fair enough as long as Bethesda able to fulfill some of their fans expectation.

. Same goes to Faerun and Oberon lore, i guess.

~ Just Love the adventures itself.

There will be fishing, cooking, smithing, vending and chatting online with some loverslab guild member on it and having a guild war against Nexus guild are surely something to remember.

I'll be a Sneaky bosmer assassin class with ranged weapon, coat the arrow with poison and snipe over our foes. . sounds perfect.
