SexDwarf2250 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I feel like the grey face bug should have its own sticky thread in Skyrim support here. Could be lots of things, too, like if you installed a mod for orc skins, but their filesizes were huge. In which case you could run them through an optimizer. Â Anyway, take a look here.
Just Checking Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 First thing to consider, did you install a mod that alters orc faces, or did you try alter orc faces in some way yourself? Grey faces are usually a result of said alterations. I think it has something to do with face gen data in the construction kit. You'll probably find a surprising number of mods exist that were made by people that simply don't know they have to click certain options in the CK or the npcs they make or change will have those grey faces.  If you installed a mod that could be responsible, or tried to make one yourself, disable it and look around, maybe start a new game to double check. It could also be a good idea to check orc strongholds and a few bandit caves or something. Knowing whether or not it's all orcs could narrow down what's caused it. Once you've tested this a bit more and have more information, work from there. This will be easier if you're using mod organizer. If you're not, depending on how hard it is to find the culprit, it may be easier to uninstall the game, delete everything in the game's directory and start from scratch. I know I have a few times back in the day.
COLOCO Posted August 21, 2018 Author Posted August 21, 2018 I use apashii hair but nothink else it may be a rest of loosing files from old deleted plugins too?

If it truly happens only with orcs there's something funny going on with their files/mods, yeah. If I remember correctly, apachii hair uses a whole ton of memory too, that could be an issue. You might be able to find a version of it that uses less.
