After almost 48 hours into SSE I relly love it and now I'd want some mods. But reading all those topics is quite confusing for someone not familiar with all the stuff mentioned.

Okay, HDT is something about physics, CBBE is the better thing to use for bodies and there is a new GUI and you-name-it-you-get-it, so far I got that.

Still I don't want to jump into the Porsche if I can't even drive a Beetle, so is there a really simple to install nude mod with maybe some skin texture added to see how all this works?

Basically a no undies mod?

Select nude textures in your CBBE SE installation. But you won't see any dicks on males, unless you have SoS installed.

Doesn't really matter for now. Okay, so CBBE SE, any requirements for that or just plug 'n play?

No requirements for it, in my opinion. If you need better than that, go for other texture packs. For example, Layenda Skin. And one tip as you keep adding mods, go for one body type, either CBBE SE or UUNP. You will get messed up, if you choose both body types.

Means, no framework or anything special for setup? OK.

Since I've read a lot of stuff, I've downloaded some of the mentioned utilities like HDT and such. See pic.

And a thing about language: should I switch to English just to be on the safe side of things?

language option is your choice. but one thing, HDT-PE won't work on SE. You will have to go for HDT-SMP.

Language: check; PE's been mentioned in the CBBE ReadMe, will swap it for SMP. What's that standing for? And from where on do I have to use SKSE?

PS.: CBBE looks damn good.

Any scripted mods relying on external support will need SKSE. Am posting the full HDT-SMP package here. You will need SKSE for it to work. Its little difficult to obtain the HDT files from the chinese site.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, Chinese is hard, would've been way easier with a Russian site....

So, SKSE, how do I make sure it is installed where it should be? Got the download from Steam and it's in another folder "Skyrim". And from what I got about it, if I want SKSE stuff working I'd have to use the SKSE desktop shortcut to start the game (?).

High Heels and SMP come from the same author Hydrogen. Check the SKSE\Plugins folder. SMP works from there.

Okay. Does it work with subfolders?

Something like SKSE\Plugins\SMP

                                              \AnotherScript

                                              \DifferentScript

etc?

Oh, and since I got a companion, no matter if I want her or not, I've found a CBBE to change her appearance (see pic); would that complicate things?

Install the HDT.7z file through any mod manager. The Serena mod is a simple makeover mod, go with it, its not gonna hit any performance of your machine.

I know about the NMM one and a second which escapes me right now. Any difference, stability, etc?

I'm used to JSGME, which is great for using with several games, but disabling a mod has a chance of leaving some remainders of the mod which can cause problems.

NMM works good for me, but uses a lots of disk space.

There is a save game editor which you can use after making a save after uninstalling a mod. I use fallrim tools from Nexus, to clean my skyrim se savegames after a mod uninstall.

Got NMM set up, lights green and engines running; just wondering where I could find the savegames for modded SSE?

Next step physics. Okay, skeleton first then HDT would be my guess.

Almost done with that Get-the-bow-of-Uriel-quest, now we can go on. Aside from that I went through this list, is there any special installation order?

Like skeleton first then physics or is that done via the ingame-load order-menu?

Not really, your mod manager generally takes care of fixing your load order.

Looks pretty.

That's the Serana mod; even vanilla Serana is pretty and she's a damn good fighter. That leather stuff is upgraded to epic so she wouldn't go down as often as with her Royal Vamp Armor and she's got a legendary ebony axe in exchange for the glassy one.20180811015228_1.thumb.jpg.e0573c0eb9cf2a4dcbe0946cddb34b38.jpg

Just hit a wall at full speed, something got updated, means SKSE64 is not running means no SkyUI. Grrrrrr!

I'll deactivate it in NMM and wait; any suggestions for non-skse mods?
