Broken Things

Ok, so title is somewhat vague.  An entirely not sure where to search/fix these issues.  That have, suddenly just surfaced (?) after the game has more or less stable and without issues.  Other than tweaking ini settings across the bord (ENB as well) to smooth out my FPS fluctuations.   (Which I had succeeded last month)

To the issues at hand.  Closed my game last night along with MO without any issues.  Opening today, loaded up my last save.  Encounter with enemy and ready action both weapons, since character is dual wielder.  Step into the fight  M1 for left strike.. and press M2 for right hand strike.. an systems menu pops up.

Hhm.. no, I didn't accidentally hit ESC.  Opened systems menu to check, open up controls.  I no longer have a menu listing for right hand action.  I have a double entry for 2 system tab functions though, one being M2 bound.

Great, how can I fix this?  so far, searches have turned up zero postings even coming close to this bug?

I had a similar problem 2 years ago, when i try play skyrim with my logitec pad.

I install some programs that convert the buttons of the pad in keys press and when i try reconfigure the controls in the game with the pad, all the controls in my game start making strange things. All the binds broke and i'm unable to control the game. The problem persist after close and un-install the bad program because the controls in the game are saved instantly and a bad asigment can broke the game.

The only solution i find is go to my main skyrim directory, the directory that have TESV.exe, and rename the file called ControlMap_Custom.txt, to for example BAD_ControlMap_Custom.txt, and start the game again.

That reset the game controls to the default. Try it.

But i say RENAME NOT DELETE for recover the file if need, because maybe your problem is not in this file and i not know why you have this problem.

NEVER make irremediable things if you are not TOTALLY SURE about what make it.

Well did rebind a few F keys for other functionality.  An I think I may have bound dual function to one of the control menu F keys.  I will give this a try, sounds exactly like what is happening.

*update* Menu problem resolved.  Thank you Maestro!
