Any time I get near the quest area my game crashes. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have a solution for it? leszakadt_plafon Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Úgy tűnik, nincs itt válasz. El kell kezdeni mindent kikapcsolgatni amíg a probléma elmúlik. Vagy... a cctosfo4001 törölni. (esetleg oszd meg a fájlokat, hogy láthassák a benne levő másságot) Talán nem töltődött le rendesen. Ezzel is érdemes többször kísérletezni. De én még is azt gondolom, nincs meg minden szükséges követelmény. Ez a leggyakoribb hiba a részleges letöltés mellett... There seems to be no answer here. You have to start off everything until the problem disappears. Or ... to delete cctosfo4001. (maybe share the files to see the difference in it) Maybe you didn't download it properly. You should also experiment several times with this. But I still don't think there is any requirement. This is the most common error with partial download ... Itt is van beszéd... My game turned into a crash fest with the latest update. Virtually at every cell transition. Can't give you any advice, since I gave up on solving the issue with my fourth attempt at reinstalling the game. Even on the lowest settings, totally vanilla, the problem persists. Seems they did it this time, breaking the game for good - at least for some people.
Tron91 Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Most people pay the money to buy the game and dlcs, and with the way bugthesda goes there is no need to give them any more money by buying more of game breaking paid content. So it would be very scarce to find effective solutions for the paid CC mod packs. Have a problem about any LL or Nexus mods, ask in any forum, here or Nexus, comments would be free flowing. My advice would be to just uninstall the CC mod pack and enjoy the rest of the game.

Well, I didn't. I would never pay for cretin club. They broke my game nonetheless with their junk updates. Whatever they may have added apart from the cc deadweight coming with their updates.

I deleted all the CC content (605 MBs) from my data folder in a last desperate effort to make the game playable, but still, CTD at every cell transition after leaving the vault. Totally vanilla game, reinstalled, after the problem first appeared, new character, all mods not only disabled but deleted.

I had moved all my CC content (around 900 MB) to another folder, then loaded the game. The game worked. Did file validation through Steam, it reinstalled some of the CC content. The size is exactly 605 MB as you quoted above. Game is working fine. Think these are the files you deleted.

Vanilla state, lowest possible settings, lowest possible screen resolution and when that didn't work out, fiddling with the inis to disable goidrays and vsync as well as mouse accelaration.

You said your installation is virgin right now. Did you try to make a Steam file validation in this state?

That may be the reason for crashing as much at Sanctuary. I'm also curious as to why my log says user: Dr Peter Haas - that's not me. Hard disk has no errors and is zero percent fragmented. I did check file integrity: Of course it redownloads the CC stuff now. Afterwards I instancrashed again a few seconds after loading my last save. I've attached a short Log again. Only a few lines this time. Seems it calls for cc stuff and can't find it. Also what's "VM is freezing", "VM is frozen", "VM is thawing", This VM sequence seems to be right before the crash in any event log. Papyrus.0.log

He swore that disconnecting internet connection by pulling the ethernet cable solved his issue. And you know what, I tried it and it seems to have solved my issues also. I have absolutely no idea why.

Three or four updates ago, they made it so that playing fullscreen and crashing crashed my whole OS. To avoid this, I can only play in windowed borderless. This nice little bug even made it as confirmed onto the Fallout 4 wiki pages.
