Vuulgar Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I have found a couple of houses in Concord and a couple of spots otherwise that I cant figure out why the walls are invisible ( one also includes a section of road out front) Another instance was in some larger buildings, one direction was see through. I can see furniture and appliances and the object is still there as I can run into it and it is always the exact same locations. I have gone through any texture mods I am using . Sim Settlements is one of the only settlement mods I am using at the time the glitch began. Any hints from pros about how to figure this out are appreciated. Thanks.

Has to be a mod........The stock game doesn't have that. Now there *IS* some invisible ground & water in Skyrim.......LOL. ?

It is a mod for sure as it is the same houses and street patch every time, this made me wonder about settlement building but as I said unless it is Sim and no one else is seeing it....I can certainly live with it, its pretty rare but still it bothers me to run past one of them lol.
Di3sIrae Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Probably VIS/pre combined meshes. You may have conflicting mods or maybe a mod that is adding these. I can say for sure that South of the Sea makes some meshes invisible at some angles (confirmed and the authors know about it). Also Boston FPS Fix had another update not so long ago fixing maybe two invisible things. So any mod that adds new city/landscape content may be the culprit. Try disabling your quest/locations mods and enabling one by one to test. I found out about SotS doing this. And here and there i find little corners missing textures, not that much for me to bother, but they do exist. The more mods with changes to pre combined meshes/VIS, higher the chance for this to happen. You can see easily see if a mod changes this by opening up the esp with fo4edit and looking in Worldspace (you can install Boston FPS Fix and compare our mods with it, to see the exact line you'll be looking for. Also this mod is good to have anyway lol) edit: Bad textures used to give you purple-pink objects, and bad meshes used to crash the game. In skyrim, i mean. I had a problem once with a mod that got corrupted that adds new textures for the quarry site (Better Quarry Sites). When i went to the quarry, i was seeing blurred textures, like LOD textures, and i would fall through the floor that was using said textures. So i guess if you have a texture problem, you'll actually see it.

I ditched some VIS patches on the new play through and one of the houses is back in this new game so you are probably correct. I dont really have any quest mods and Diamond City Expansion is my only addition. These give me ideas to try, thanks again.
Gelfling Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 I've tried a couple of Oberland bridge clearance mods but both seem to make the beantown brewery disappear, If this is any help.
Di3sIrae Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Yeah sadly it is very easy to break the combined mesh, hope you can find a way to fix that. I still find some places that dissapear at certain angles but not game breaking, so i'm still going on.
