draeneis Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Hello, I succesfully installed modorganizer and a few dozen mods and was enjoying them for several months. I took a break for a few months, came back, installed some mods, new version of F4SE, try to run it and it told me I had no more mods. The ModOrganizer window clearly shows many mods installed and checked just as it did a few months ago when everything worked perfectly and since which time nothing has changed. When loading Fallout, there are no mods. When looking at it with LOOT, also no mods exist. In the Fallout 4/data folder, there are no mods. But in the ModOrganizer window, there are lots of mods representing all of the time and effort I put into that doing that correctly. Is there a button to make ModOrganizer wake up and put itself back together? Is this a common issue and I should never use this software again? I have to start over and reinstall? Thank you.
VonHelton Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I sometimes wonder if some of this stuff is being affected by AI..........Funny, I know, but I still wonder........ ?

I had just returned to FO4 a bit ago and I was having this but I ended up updating every tool and driver and it has worked since. No idea which it actually was, sorry, I was pretty frustrated by that point. MO2, LOOT, my vid driver are the main 3 I would guess. I wondered if it had to do with a Win10 update not long ago so make sure you are current there also. Good luck!
draeneis Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 I had to reinstall the newest version of mod organizer apparently. Now the mods are loading again. Previous versions of modorganizer are secretly completely useless without any error messages.
draeneis Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Great now I can't figure out how to make it not start in a tiny window in the corner. I have changed several different .ini files download two different widescreen patches and absolutely nothing will stop this stupid game from starting in a tiny window in the corner. Anyone fixed this before? Where is the .ini file that I have not seen yet? Can I punch the game in the face until it does what I say? What a horrible way to spend my day god why edit - It was ModOrganizer again! There is a duplicate FalloutPrefs.ini file which I guess MO is copying over at runtime. It had to be modified, not just the one in My Documents. The one in my documents probably does nothing at all. I had to look in the profile/Default subdirectory of the MO folder.
crplivion Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 my games in documents, theres a skyrim folder.inside is skyrim prefs.scroll down to see screen res.just above is fullscreen option.change from zero to one to engage fullscreen
Skipidi Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Same thing except mine was working fine prior a windows 10 reset. I have all my mods listed in MO2, enabled and the plugins are all checked but no matter what I try, the game loads vanilla I've reinistalled MO2, F4SE, changed the inis to allow modding... but it still doesn't work I dont want to use Vortex :( Anyone has any idea how to fix this ? Thanks
