LoneSheWolf Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Pretty much exactly as the title says. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this on, if not I apologize. This is my first time making a follower and I'm still somewhat new to Creation KIt, so I apologize in advance if I ask any noob-ish questions, lol. You see, I'm trying to make a custom follower mod using resources from other mods. I made my follower in RaceMenu and exported him using the console command spf (charactername) and it worked but when I try to import the npc file it created into Creation Kit, my follower shows up without any of the custom resources I used. So for example I used ApachiiSkyHair for men and Eyes of Beauty to make my follower and when I import him into CK he shows up without either of those (or any of the other mods I used!) I tried loading the other mods in CK, even going so far as to edit the ini to allow multiple masters, but still it doesn't work! If anyone could give any advice, I'd be super grateful! Less pressing, but, I was also wondering how I might go about packaging the individual resources I used to make my follower so that anyone who downloads him wouldn't have to go downloading the mods I used (potentially conflicting with their own custom body, skin, etc. mods)? So he would be standalone? Oh, and don't worry, I won't upload anything till I'm certain I have the permission of the mod authors who made those resources, so for now this is just a personal project, though I would like to share my follower eventually. Oh, and before I forget, here's a list of the mods I'm currently using in my test save file (which I also used to make my follower): 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 ApachiiHair.esm 7 7 ApachiiHairFemales.esm 8 8 ApachiiHairMales.esm 9 9 portal2mod.esp 10 a Eyes of Aber.esp 11 b CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp 12 c RaceMenu.esp 13 d RaceMenuPlugin.esp 14 e RaceMenuOverlays.esp 15 f SkyUI.esp 16 10 TheCoenaculiMALE.esp 17 11 RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp 18 12 FNIS.esp 19 13 XPMSE.esp 20 14 TheEyesOfBeauty.esp 21 15 The Eyes Of Beauty - Elves Edition.esp 22 16 NormalVampireFaces.esp 23 17 bodyscars.esp 24 18 DVA - Dynamic Vampire Appearance.esp 25 19 Better Vampires.esp 26 1a VL No AoE Drain.esp 27 1b Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp
Andy14 Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Hair, eyebrows, eyes, etc. are race-specific and gender-specific. You need in your mod, the hair mods, etc. as a master file. Your follower must be a valid race and gender, then you can choose the hair, eyes etc in the CK. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Adding_a_Follower_NPC_to_Skyrim
RW311 Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Assuming you have all dlc then to have multiple masters work for ck you need to make this change in skyrimeditor.ini as well as allowing multiple masters. SResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa You can use ck to build it and make it standalone but it's a long process and it's much faster and easier to do by using the export function of racemenu and nifmerge, ck is only needed to create the esp using your npc file to get the facemorphs and tint settings accurate and to build a facegen placeholder.
