Chances are he had the same problem I did till recently the avast would not allow embeded links to be downloaded it outright blocked them, those from the actual download section yes, but embeded links not at all, though for me that got sorted out a few days ago, when I came home to find the pc had rebooted.

I fixed this by whitelisting loverslab in Avast's settings. Keep in mind though that if LL ever does get real malware (like in an ad) then it puts you at risk, if for some reason you don't use ad-blocking extensions.

Yeah I ended up just turning Avast off temporarily while I downloaded the file. Thanks all!
