Mod to get the follower to, well, FOLLOW!?

Every time I start wondering through the open terrain, I arrive to my next adventure with my follower nowhere to be found.  Almost every time I'm crawling through a dungeon on the rare time (they actually do show up), the follower is way behind and shows up after the fight.  There are even times when I fast travel with them right next to me, but then I show up solo.

 

Is there any mod for Special Edition that can either give it better movement to properly keep up, or to constantly somehow summon the follower to me?  It seems there's some sort of timer where they will just appear after a loading screen, can this timer be modified to 0 so they always arrive with you?

 

(I tried Amazing Follower Tweaks, but that just did not work with a custom follower, manually summoning never did anything at all.  It would never summon, even after I marked the follower.)

I literally stated that the linked mod does not work.  The follower still does not keep up with me and manually summoning via that mod does NOTHING to my follower even after specifically marking the follower for that mod.

 

I'm looking for an improvement on follower movement, or to force them appearing after each load screen so they at least somewhat keep up with me.

Perhaps it is the mod that works and it is your loadorder and install order that dont work?

 

How have you installed your mods and what is your loadorder?

Yes you did state but it works right out of the box for most followers as it states also states it may break custom followers that why I posted it so it could be went through again... You said custom followers that is a broad spectrum... custom to me means they have their own followers system all other will use AFT... If you use AFT with a customs follower who has their own follower system it will break them. I strongly believe you have a load order issue for this not to work I have used over 400 different follower mods and never had an issue with AFT.. Perhaps you would like to share what follower is not working for you?

I stated that the particular MOD was not working for my case in hopes someone could direct to a different mod that may solve the problem.  I see no value in simply linking something somebody said specifically did not work for them with only "Here you go" is all.  Not trying to start a bickering, but I'm looking for something different to try, thanks.

 

Do you have any other suggestions on mods that may work to solve following issues?  Or work in a different manner towards followers?

Did you read the mod page completely? Most do not.  I offered help in my last post adding more mods to fix something that is broke is not the answer it will only add to them. If a mod like AFT does not work it means something is wrong with your game, mods installed, and or load order and it is affecting followers.

I don't know why you're trying to derail and force the issue.  It's a simple question, really.  lol  It's also funny when someone essentially blindly accuse someone of 'not reading' when they reply with only link to a mod that was specifically stated as not the answer in the initial request.

 

I'm sure AFT doesn't cover every possible angle to satisfy the initial stated problem.  Such as forcing followers to be next to you on every zone load.  Does AFT do that? I did not see that as an option when AFT wasn't working for me.  Does it force a follower to keep up with you when traversing the mountains?  I didn't see that in the AFT description.  Continuously forcing a menu option to get your follower to actually teleport to you is pretty crappy and immersion breaking to begin with so I feel AFT is a crappy solution for this particular request even if it would work for my specific setup.  So please stop trying to force the broken/not AFT distraction.

 

Either suggest a different mod, or stop derailing this thread, please.  AFT is not only broken for my current setup, it's not even what I really want.  Thank you.
