ReMeDy Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I've had this bug since the beginning of Fallout 4's release. Has anyone figured out what causes this, or a way to fix it, or am I the only one? If I so much as move the mouse even just a tiny bit, my character turns 180 degrees. For some reason, the character only turns when it's my character's turn to talk; when the NPC speaks, I can move my mouse all I want.
B0ss plz Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Yeah, this has always been an issue for me. Basically; if you move the mouse just a tiny bit right after you click on a dialog option, they'll move. Doesn't happen if you either uses a controller or just use your arrow keys to pick what you say but yes, I'm sure it's normal for many other people.
worik Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 1 hour ago, B0ss plz said: I'm sure it's normal for many other people. It is ... annoying but I guess it has something to to with my mouse sensivity. I wouldn't want to change that for normal playing though.
Di3sIrae Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Interesting. I don't remember having this bug before, and it started happening now. Not always, i think. But if you move your mouse, then the character moves away from the conversation. Someone said that Fallout4prefs.ini [General] bGamepadEnable=0 fix this issue, BUT this is exact how it is in my ini, so this CAN be a fix. Not for me, i guess, but you can try... And just a thought, but i used to play with [Display] bForceIgnoreSmoothness=1 and now it is 0... Maybe it is related? Who knows, i'll leave this as 1 again and test later.
ReMeDy Posted June 17, 2018 Author Posted June 17, 2018 Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue then. Maybe it is indeed a bug. At this point then, I'm curious if there is anyone who is not having this issue. 14 hours ago, Di3sIrae said: Interesting. I don't remember having this bug before, and it started happening now. I tried both adjustments just now. Didn't help one bit.
Di3sIrae Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Heh i thought that. Since i didn't have this problem and now i am, and i am not the only one, i decided to do some research and people are compaining about it since... 2015? Yeah, this is a known bug for the devs, but never resolved. Start conversation in 3rd person, this have probabily a high chance of occuring (maybe 99,9%?) lol If you start conversation in 1st person, this won't happen
