Guest Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Hellooooo, I was wondering, does anyone know where I can find some proper hiiiiiigh high heels for Male sims? Possibly the heel as big as these; Spoiler  I've seen a few, but even when I enable them for Male sims, as well as slightly mess with the mesh, they either don't look right or still don't show up whatsoever, even if the male has feminine clothes prefered and a feminine body type. Anybody got any ideas?
qlx Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 where'd you get the ones you have? Â I wonder if you could open up the package for other heels and mess with the coding to 'unlock' the options for men as well. not sure if the leg meshes are different enough to cause clipping though. Â Â i've been running into lots of issues with custom clothes not showing up in CAS for feminine framed men or masculine framed women. I haven't dug into it but there must be somewhere you set that stuff.

qlx Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Thank you! Here's the link for anyone else that's interested.  As for more options, maybe @Reitanna has some recommendations?
heartbeatsandbrainwaves Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 If the item was made before the Sims 4 gender patch, it will not show up for other genders no matter what, unless you use Sims 4 Studio to fix it. This may be why you cannot make certain heels show up for males, but I do not know what you have tried. To update the item, try ticking the 'restrict gender' options. If the item needs an update, Sims 4 Studio will notice it then, and do so. Once it has updated, untick the option again, and save it. If the item did not need an update, nothing will happen.  i also have a recommendation: https://julietoon.tumblr.com/post/169318749800/josh-q-impossible-boots-with-warmers-3to4-by-julie You will also need to make a guy with skinny legs to prevent clipping. But otherwise, it is fine.  Madlen's shoes are a bit hit and miss, but these ones surprisingly work alright. they do have some minor errors around the ankles, but it is hard to see unless you are looking: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1401768http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1394669  I do not recall if any of these are enabled for males when downloaded, so you will have to double check.  I think distortion is caused because in Sims models, the feet and legs are different parts. I think it would be easier to find success in unisexing heels which are not boots, and which do not cover the ankles or higher. But I am not sure.

Even went as far as attempting to merge the meshes of the male legs and expanding the mesh of the shoe (with permission of course, so long as I never released it to the public, which I would never do), but nothing worked for a lot of them.  I find Madlen's shoes do occasionally work for me, I just find it hard to find heels that are greatly exaggerated, honestly don't mind whether it's a boot or just a heel, heh. Might have to figure out how this all works my self one day, can make the small like 2" heels on the MM heels longer but the toe shape itself is an issue.
Reitanna Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I always use S4S to make EVERY piece of CC I have work for all genders. I personally hate it when they're restricted, unless it's like... a skin detail with boobs, because that texture on a male looks weird. so I just have my males wear any high heels that look good on the body type, and most of them do.
FauxFurry Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Wingly Simmer had some but is on hiatus so the links to the male outfits that I have found all seem to be bad.

Ah, that's a shame. I find a lot of links online and they never work, it's a bit of a gamble. There was one user whose work I loved, they specified I think mostly in everything Male. So, animations, clothes, poses, you name it. But I cannot for the life of me remember their name, and the only URL I have from them leads me to a virus. So, I assume they're also gone.
