FASHION POLICE

Thank you to everyone who showed so much interest in this project; It was much, much more than I had expected. First things first; The mod itself is Deaderpool's MC Command Center. This is a .cfg file that contains an extensive list of acceptable outfit combinations. This list is necessary for the mod to dress sims in such a manner. You can get MC Command Center here;
   https://deaderpool-mccc.com/#/

!!  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY  !!

This is still a work-in-progress (WIP), and does not yet include Children or Toddlers. This is a CC-FREE version, and as such makes use of various EPs/GPs/SPs. The less packs you own, the more likely you are to get "broken" outfits (outfits which have part of it missing, or replaced with an undesired piece). Broken (or even unwanted) outfits can be removed permanently from the list (see GUIDE). If there is an outfit you do not like on a specific sim, you can load a new random one without removing it from the list (see GUIDE). NOTE: When adding or removing outfits from the list, 'Teens/Young Adults/Adults' are one age group, while 'Elders' are a separate one, and must be added or removed separately!

There is an easy to use, Outfit Filter made by @erplederp. The Outfit Filter is an application that allows users to easily remove outfits from the list, that contain items from unwanted packs. This is an essential tool for any user who does not own all the packs, and is still useful for those that do. Simply, check off the packs you want potential outfits to use. Any outfit using a pack that is left unchecked will be deleted. The Outfit Filter is a 64b Windows application and may not be usable by all users. As such, I have included a "Base Game only" version of the .cfg file as a separate download option (includes the Free Holiday Pack). Anyone who cannot use the Outfit Filter, and would like a different combination of packs filtered, may post a request. I will gladly add it at my earliest convenience.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Spoiler

Aside from the fact that there are less male clothing options, and significantly less male SimSelves in The Gallery, they also tend to use a smaller amount of unique outfits. As such, males, are more likely to get repeat / similar outfits. Remember, this is a WIP; more and more outfits will be added as time goes on.
There are currently 4 versions to choose from. Select the file named "mc_dresser.cfg" from the .zip of your choice, and put that file in the same folder as MC Command Center. "####-##-##" is the date (in international format) of the update.

  • Dresser_####-##-##.zip = ADULTS (Teen-Elder) are affected by cleaning outfits. It ALSO contains MAXIS NPC outfits.
  • Dresser_BG_####-##-##.zip = ADULTS (Teen-Elder) are affected by cleaning outfits. It ALSO contains MAXIS NPC outfits. ONLY uses Base Game items.
  • Dresser_LE_####-##-##.zip = ADULTS (Teen-Elder) are affected by cleaning outfits. It ALSO contains MAXIS NPC outfits. ONLY uses items applicable to LE users.
  • Dresser_CC_####-##-##.zip = ADULTS (Teen-Elder) are affected by cleaning outfits. It contains outfits that make use of the provided CC.

STEP #2 : During gameplay, click on a sim and either; (a) Save an outfit, then delete it from the list. (b) delete the outfit, then save it back to the list.

This will resort the list, and remove any duplicates. It will also remove the update markers.

GUIDE FOR MC DRESSER: LIMITATIONS, SETTINGS, & HOW TO USE IT

Spoiler

MC Dresser handles; Clothing, Accessories (Head & Body), Hair, and Makeup. For this project we are currently focusing on Outfits which is a combination of Clothing and Accessories. If you wish to use MC Dresser to control Hair and Makeup, you can. There is an easy way to add my list of "clean" outfits to your own .cfg file (see INSTALLATION).

When cleaning a sim's outfit, if the sim is already wearing a clean outfit, no changes will be made. You can also FLAG sims individually to bypass any cleaning. This allows you to have a custom non-clean outfit on your active sim, but have MC Dresser clean the other household members so that you don't have to worry about dressing them.

LIMITATIONS: The mod does not take into account clothing preferences. This means that females will still wear the same outfits that all other females wear, even if they have a masculine clothing preference. The same goes for males. I have no control over this, but if enough people ask Deaderpool to add this in, I'm assuming he will. There is also no global selection options for cleaning sim outfits. What I mean is; you cannot choose only NPCs, played households, or active households. The mod cleans outfits on ALL sims, unless they are flagged not to. Though you can also clean outfits on a single sim at a time. I spoke to Deaderpool about adding these options in a future update. His reply was that flagging sims does the job as intended, you could achieve the same effect by flagging sims individually, and he had no plans on adding any global selection options.

FLAG Sims: Click on a Sim >> [MC Command Center] >> [Sim Flags] >> [MC Dresser] >> [Flag Bypass Outfit Changes]

SETTINGS:

Computer: Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Population] >> [Population Settings] >> [Run Dresser]

**You must choose "Enabled" for new sims to be generated with clean outfits.

Computer: Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Cleaner] >> [Item Cleaner] >> [Sync Glasses]

If a sim wears an outfit with glasses, copy those glasses to other outfits (except Bathing, Sleeping, and Swimming), so that they'll wear the same glasses rather than different ones.

Computer: Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Dresser]

[Ages To Run On Age-Up] : Select ages to actively clean sims' outfits. When sims age up (or down) to selected ages their outfits will be cleaned.

[Clean Dark Form Outfits] : Choose if MC Dresser affects a vampire's Dark Form outfits.

[Makeup Settings] : various makeup settings.
[Male After Career Outfit] : Choose which outfit, if any, males change to when coming home from their career.
[Female After Career Outfit] : Choose which outfit, if any, females change to when coming home from their career.
[Only Use Saved Outfits] : **You must choose "Enabled" to clean sims with outfits listed in the CFG file.

[Percent Use Custom Skin Tone] : The chance a newly-generated sim will have a custom skin tone as opposed to a default one.

[Dresser Clean All Sims] : Cleans ALL outfits on ALL sims (unless flagged).

[Outfit Commands]

[Clean Outfits] : Cleans all outfits for this sim.
[Save Outfit] : Adds the outfit this Sim is currently wearing to list of clean outfits in the .CFG file. **Use this to add your own outfits. ('Elders' are a separate age group and must be done separately!)

[Generate Multiple Outfits] : Gives sim the maximum number of multiple outfits (as set in your settings) for each clothing category.

[Randomize Clothing] : Generate a set of random clothing (this is what the game normally does, which we're trying to avoid).
[Copy / Paste]

[Copy Outfit] : Copy this sim's current outfit.
[Copy Hair] : Copy this sim's current hairstyle.
[Copy Makeup] : Copy this sim's current makeup.

[Copy Accessories] : Copy this sim's current accessories.
[Paste Outfit] : Paste the copied outfit to this sim's current outfit (ex. copied Sim #1's Hot Weather, and paste it on Sim #2's Active).
[Paste All Outfits] : After copying a sim's outfit, use all of that sim's outfits to replace all the current sim's outfits (ie. copies all outfits from one sim to another).
[Paste Hair] : Paste the copied hairstyle to this sim's current outfit (ex. copied Sim #1's Sleep hair, and paste it on Sim #2's Swim hair).
[Paste Hair To All Outfits] : Paste the copied hairstyle to all of this sim's outfits.
[Paste Makeup] : Paste the copied Makeup to this sim's current outfit.
[Paste Makeup To All Outfits] : Paste the copied Makeup to all of this sim's outfits.

[Remove All Accessories] : Removes all accessories (Head & Body) from the current outfit.
[Log Outfit Details] : Generates a ".info" file with outfit details for all outfits for this sim.

OUTFIT FILTER: INSTALLATION & USE

Spoiler

STEP #1 : Simply extract the file "OutfitFilter.zip" in the same folder as MC Command Center. You will now have a folder named "OutfitFilter".

zOutfitFilter2.jpg.28af834f73b3dc8ea448115979aff993.jpg

In this folder run the application named "OutfitFilter.exe".

zOutfitFilter3.jpg.a5b16d1055aefcfac38009e77b2f0a79.jpg

STEP #2 : Check off the packs you want potential outfits to use. Any outfit using a pack that is left unchecked will be deleted.

WARNING: Over 90% of outfits use items from the Base Game. Unchecking the Base Game option will remove these outfits from the list.
WARNING: Checking off packs you do not own will cause the mod to generate "broken" outfits. When "broken" outfits are used, sims may be left partially (or fully) nude.

zOutfitFilter.jpg.943e5d6a3d46728b1dec307a47c7ddf7.jpg

STEP #3 : Click "Filter". You will be prompted to open the "mc_dresser.cfg" file. Select it and click "Open".

zOutfitFilter4.jpg.d701ac2b80ee48bc8ebf49209b964acc.jpg

A prompt should inform you the process was successful, and a Backup was created. You are now done!

CHANGE LOG:

Spoiler

March 16, 2020

  • The Outfit Filter has been updated to version 1.3 by @erplederp to include support for Tiny Living.
  • Updated the Guide with a new setting "Situation Use Standard".

March 10, 2020

  • This update is brought to you by @FiendishDrWu!, who added all of @mrrakkonn's outfits (as of 2020-03-03). This includes a whopping 1191 new CC outfits and 120 Maxis outfits.
  • Costumes (or "special" outfits) are not included in the list of outfits. This would mean some of the outfits used by @mrrakkonn's sims would not be preserved. HOWEVER, @FiendishDrWu! has has gone through the trouble of creating a second, special list for you, which includes these additional outfits. Download the file named Dresser_CC_mrrakkonn_2020-03-03 if you want the list WITH the special outfits.
  • The original CC pack has been cleaned out (because I missed things), and re-sorted by @FiendishDrWu!. It has been renamed CC_Pack-1_2019-12-21. I would suggest re-downloading it, because it contains some updated versions of CC. New CC has been added as CC_Pack-2_2020-03-10, and CC_Pack-3_2020-03-10.
  • Additionally, there are also 33 new Maxis outfits created by @wild_die which I did not add last time, because they make use of the Tiny Living pack which I did not yet own.

 February 14, 2020

  • I concentrated on adding CC outfits and did not manage to add a lot of non-CC ones, but among the ones I did add are 22 new Everyday outfits for females. This passes the 1000 mark for Female Everyday outfits!?
  • Now the big HUGE news: @wild_die has created / given 754 new unique outfits to this project, AND has also personally added those outfits. That's impressive! Be sure to tag @wild_die with any thank you posts (you can post them in this thread).
  • I finished adding the batch of outfits from "Porkybork's World". Thanks again @porkybork. If you already downloaded the CC then you do NOT need to download it again. I processed all the CC at once beforehand specifically for this purpose. Just download the updated CFG file.
  • There is a small issue with the last update (2019-12-21). It does NOT affect you if you use the CC. It also does NOT affect you if you just replace the CFG file with the new one (the current update has been fixed). It ONLY affects you if you've been adding the updated sections. The issue: 8 outfits have been added which use CC. You can use the Outfit Filter to filter these out. If this is still an issue for anyone, let me know so that I can help.
  • I have decided to quit personally adding CC outfits. I don't have the resources time-wise to keep up with it, and I'm falling further and further behind on other requested projects. Anyone willing to take this on, please do so. You can post it yourself as a separate download, or I can post it for you here. I completely support the use of CC outfits, I just don't have the time to do it myself. @mrrakkonn has offered the use of his outfit creations for this project. I'm sorry I did not get the chance to add them as well. I'm pretty sure the offer extends to anyone adding to the project, so I'd recommend starting there to anyone who takes this on.
  • Elders will now be added separately. I was initially asked to copy the same outfits over to Elders, but I believe they have a substantial amount of outfits now, so that will no longer be the case.

January 11, 2020

  • For some reason the LE (32x) version had duplicated lines. I corrected this and uploaded an updated version.
  • The name has now officially changed to the "FASHION POLICE" mod

December 23, 2019

  • Thanks to @erplederp the Outfit Filter has been updated to version 1.2, which includes the option for "Discover University". The older version, which is more applicable to LE users, is still available, but has been renamed to "OutfitFilter_LE.zip".

December 22, 2019

  • There is an issue with the CC provided. It does not automatically extract. However, right-clicking, and opening the archive seems to work. Until I can figure out how to fix this, please use this method. Please use the file "Test_CC.zip". It should be working fine now.

December 21, 2019

  • I put in even more effort this time. I managed to add 853 unique Maxis outfits (it's actually double that because I added them for Elders too). I also added 311 new CC outfits!
  • Since there is a lot more to say, I posted it in the thread. Please read (or at least skim through) it HERE.
  • Updated the MC Dresser guide. Clicking on a mailbox was changed to add an additional sub-directory. The guide now reflects that.

 July 31, 2019

  • I put in a lot of effort to process outfits this month. Most were BG-only outfits to cater to those who only own the Base Game. I processed 632, but only 117 were added, as the rest ended up being duplicates of previously added outfits. I also added outfits from the "Island Living" Expansion Pack. I collected all the sims from promos for earlier packs, but they have yet to be added.
  • There is now an EXPERIMENTAL CC add-on, containing Maxis-Match CC. Combine the CFG file with your own, main CFG file, following the instructions. Feedback would be appreciated, in order to decide how to move forward. There was also a non-MM add-on containing outfits from @mrrakkon and @porkybork sims. However, due to technical difficulties, these will have to wait until the next update.
  • ?? There is an Outfit Filter, based on Pack selection, made by @erplederp. Be sure to tag @erplederp with any "Thank you" posts. More information below (see OUTFIT FILTER).

July 2, 2019

  • Due to circumstances beyond my control I have been physically unable to add any outfits during the month of June. I should be able to resume soon, but it will be at a much slower pace.
  • There is an Outfit Filter, based on Pack selection, made by @erplederp. Be sure to tag @erplederp with any "Thank you" posts. More information below (see OUTFIT FILTER).
  • The polls originally showed a 50-50 split regarding Maxis sims' clothing. Now that much more people have voted, it is clearly no longer the case. There will be only one version, containing clothing from Maxis sims.
  • To make up for the lack of additional outfits this month, I hope to produce a mini-update, which will include outfits from "Island Living" and promos from earlier packs.

June 1, 2019

  • Files updated: Outfit count nearly doubled. Removed separate option for Females only (I feel there are now a sufficient number of male outfits).
  • There is a new naming scheme with "Dresser" appended to the beginning for better organization of different versions (keeping them together), and the date (YYYY-MM-DD) on the end, so that you can easily compare your version with the last update (assuming you keep the .7z file).
  • The Latest News will stay at the top. The Change Log has moved to the bottom.
  • IMPORTANT: There is a new setting in "MC Population" that is required to generate new sims with clean outfits. There is also a suggested setting in "MC Cleaner" to sync glasses (see SETTINGS).
  • IMPORTANT: For those who modify the .cfg file by removing broken / unwanted outfits (adding outfits won't matter). It occurred to me that adding an updated version of the list will re-add those outfits which have been removed. This means I need to separate new entries from the old ones. After a considerable amount of time I've devised a way to do so. Please see new instructions for combining the updated list with your own.

May 2, 2019

  • Added: NOTE: When adding or removing outfits from the list, 'Teens/Young Adults/Adults' are one age group, while 'Elders' are a separate one, and must be added or removed separately!
