Smart auto-locking the door when it matters

When a WickedWhims scene starts between two Sims, and one of them has a committed partner on the lot, and the room is empty except those two, the room doors lock for that session. Temporary only - it automatically unlocks once the deed is done.

When the door locks, a short toast shows what’s going on - who's cheating, who's the other Sim, and who's still outside.

With City Living installed, locked doors show the floating heart effect while the lock is active.

Partner can listen at the door

If the committed partner walks near the locked door from outside the room, they overhear it once during that session.

What they hear is rolled randomly:

• Vague - maybe something, maybe not
• Suspicious - something shady is happening in there
• Certain - they heard enough

They can unlock and enter - or ignore it

Unlock and enter - doors unlock, they go into the room, and WickedWhims starts a confrontation with the cheater. The door won’t re-lock until that session ends.

Ignore - they walk away, then a follow-up toast shows what they chose to ignore.

Community translations

The mod ships in English. Community translations are optional drop-in .package files.

Keep the English strings package installed, then add your language pack next to it in Mods.

For players

1. Install the main mod files.
2. Add the translation package for your language.
3. Set The Sims 4 to that language.
4. Restart the game.
   
   Tip: rename the translation pack with a ! prefix so it loads early, e.g. !XtremSyn_WickedAffairDoorLock_Translation_ES.package.

For translators

Use Sims 4 Studio with the translation template package (available for download):

XtremSyn_WickedAffairDoorLock_Translation_TEMPLATE.package

1. Open the template package in Sims 4 Studio.
2. Go to the STBL / Translation string table.
3. Choose your target language.
4. Translate each line.
5. Keep placeholders like {0.String} exactly as they are.
6. Save as a language package, for example XtremSyn_WickedAffairDoorLock_Translation_ES.package.

Share that one saved .package file. Players only need to drop it into Mods.

Optional: City Living pack, for hearts VFX only.

Download both files and place them in your Mods directory.

Do not place them deeper than one folder.
