SCORN rewrites Skyrim's dialogue for a colder, meaner world, one that runs on power and patriarchy. NPCs talk down to you, even when you are dragonborn. Guards threaten instead of warn. Merchants size you up. Men assume authority; women get reminded where they stand. Nobody here thinks the Dragonborn is chosen. You claw for every scrap of respect you get.
Â
The world of SCORN
Â
- The world is patriarchal and openly sexist. NPCs address the player as a woman and treat her as lesser for it: dismissive, possessive, or leering, depending who's talking.
- Jarls, guards, and shopkeepers speak from above.
- Quests, Scenes, and ambient dialogue rewritten to match the tone
- Written for a female player character. Most of the dialogue assumes the Dragonborn is a woman and reacts to her as one
-
Deliberately dark and openly misogynistic in tone by design. Expect demeaning dialogue directed at the player and at women in the world
- Language is not quite as intense as Sexist Vanilla, Sexist Guards, or Misogynistic Guards; if you want to use any of those, just load them after this mod.
-
Some subjective choices I have made
- "Bikini" is now Dibellan, never been a fan of the word bikini in skyrim, Dibellan Armor is the closest lore friendly phrase I can think of
- Genital naming largely removed, words like "pussy", and "cunt" raplaced with more generic phrases. i.e. fuck my pussy -> fuck me. this is A. to make some mods sound less "porny" , and B. to improve experience for players that play with futa mods.
Â
VOICE LINES EXAMPLES
Â
Nurelion, Windhelm:
VANILLA: I hope you have coin to spend, and you're not just here to gawk
      at my goods.
SCORN:  Hope you've coin to spend, girl, not just here to gawk.
Â
Skaggi, praising a miner:
VANILLA: You work hard, Daighre. Glad you have stayed with us.
SCORN:  You pull your weight. Didn't think a woman would.
Â
Alvor, at the Riverwood forge:
VANILLA: The grindstone will improve your weapons. Use the table to
      improve your armor.
SCORN:  The grindstone will improve your weapons. Use the table to
improve your armor. Mind the forge without a man watching.
Â
Gorm, in Morthal's hall:
VANILLA: Mind your manners in this hall, friend.
SCORN:  Mind your manners in this hall, friend. And anyone who forgets
their place will be reminded of it. Firmly.
Â
Balgruuf, to his housecarl Irileth:
VANILLA: Heard about that, did you? Yes, I went out for a pint or two.
      What of it?
SCORN:  Heard about that, did you? Yes, I went for a pint. A Jarl
      doesn't account to a woman.
Â
Mirabelle Ervine, College of Winterhold:
VANILLA: The College of Winterhold has been a fixture in Skyrim for
      thousands of years.
SCORN:  The College has stood here longer than your bloodline. Treat it
      with respect.
Â
Bassianus, in Ivarstead:
VANILLA: Is it absolutely necessary for you to bother me right now?
SCORN:  Is it absolutely necessary for you to bother me right now? I'm
working. Go find something useful to do, girl.
Â
A guard in Dawnstar:
VANILLA: Dangerous post, Dawnstar. If the bandits don't get you, the
      animals will.
SCORN:  Dangerous post, Dawnstar. Bandits, animals... no place for a
      woman alone.
Â
A city guard, reminiscing:
VANILLA: I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in
      the knee...
SCORN:  I used to be an adventurer like... well. Not quite like you.
Then I took an arrow in the knee.
Â
Nazir, Dark Brotherhood:
VANILLA: Still here? What's the matter, can't handle what I'm throwing
      your way?
SCORN:  Still here, girl? Can't handle what I'm throwing your way?
Â
Jofthor, about his daughter, overheard at Fellstar Farm:
VANILLA: She's our only child, Boti. Am I to throw her to the wolves?
SCORN:  She's not a boy, Boti. She can't just go wandering like that.
Â
Proventus, about his daughter:
VANILLA: Perhaps you've met her? Adrianne? She owns the shop,
      Warmaiden's.
SCORN:  Perhaps you've met her? Adrianne? She works the forge at
      Warmaiden's, Ulfberth's shop.
Â
Keerava, throwing you out:
VANILLA: No, and I never will. Now get out of my inn!
SCORN:  No, I never will. Get out of Talen-Jei's inn!
Â
Bolli and Nivenor, at the Riften fishery:
BOLLI:  Decided to grace us with your presence today?
NIVENOR: And just what's that supposed to mean?
BOLLI:  It means I run a business, Nivenor. You're here to keep up
      appearances and balance the ledgers.
NIVENOR: That's what you pay them for, isn't it? Leave me out of it.
Â
Adult Extended Examples
Â
- "I want to fuck your pussy." → "I want to fuck you, girl. That's my price."
- "She's the one testing out some of my own stuff." → "She's testing gear built to keep women like her in line."
- "Might as well use the situation to my advantage! [Grabs you]" → "Might as well make use of the situation! [Grabs you]"
- "Delvin, it's your turn to fuck the Guild Master." → "Delvin. Your turn with her."
WHAT'S BEEN CHANGED
SCORN goes after the dialogue you actually hear, not a percentage of the game's total. Around 1,900 lines rewritten so far, weighted to the high-traffic stuff:
Â
- City ambient & street chatter: Whiterun, Windhelm, Riften, Solitude, Markarth, and the smaller towns
- Innkeepers, merchants & barter: greetings, haggling, services
- Guards: challenges, threats, idle lines
- Jarls & their courts: Balgruuf, Elisif, the war-camp leaders, stewards and housecarls
- Faction questlines: Companions, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, College of Winterhold
- Quest and follower dialogue across the main locations
Â
USE OF AI
(I add this for transparency, because I like to be transparent. Please be kind, and if you don't like this mod or how I approached it: ignore it, improve it, or make your own.)
Writing is largely AI generated for broad sweeps, with some manual rewrites here and there. Voices are generated with Inworld TTS. A language model wrote the lines against a fixed tone brief, matched to each line's original Skyrim voice type, so gender, race, and unique NPC voices stay intact. Voice quality varies. Point out the rough ones.

What's New in Version 0.9.0.1
Released
## [0.9.0] - 2026-08-18 - The release where the writing reaches the game
Five more mods patched, support for AI-driven NPCs, and a run of fixes for lines
that were written but never actually reached the game.
**Added**
- **Favor Quests Separated**, **NPCs Wear Amulets of Mara**, **Jarl Balgruuf Dilemma**, **Windhelm Segregation**, **YASTM** -- the last two resolve conflicts only.
- **SkyrimNet** -- AI-driven NPCs now speak from SCORN's world instead of vanilla's. Its own tickbox.
- Sixty-two speakers now have written treatment, so a later pass does not relitigate them.
**Fixed**
- 70 of the player's own lines never reached the game.
- 23 lines were still speaking their previous wording.
- Six lines had no voice at all, including the Thirsk Riekling chief.
- Favor's 13 lines had never been built into a plugin and shipped silent.
**Changed**
- New installer banner. SCORN-Expanded is no longer offered.
- **A belief is an attitude, never a rule the game disproves.** "No guild takes a woman" is false the moment you join the Companions beside Aela. Swept over all 6,843 lines.
- Authored lines 5,435 -> 5,251. The count went *down*: reverting a wrong-pole line is defect removal. What grew is reach.
Â
## [0.8.3] - 2026-08-09 - The rule that reverting is not free
One new patch, a vocabulary class closed across the whole tree, and four towns
re-read from the top.
**Added**
- **SexLab Survival** -- tolls, curfews, clothing rules, guard shakedowns.
**Changed**
- Genitals are no longer named anywhere in the mod. 287 lines.
- Subtitles no longer narrate actions -- `*Hands over 50g*` and the like.
- Reverting a line is no longer the default fix. A bad line is a line to fix.
- Markarth, the main quest, the Thieves Guild and Riften re-read line by line: 123 reverted, 154 written or repaired, all now inside their length budgets.
**Fixed**
- A brawl line made every woman who won announce herself a man.
- Aeri no longer owns her mill outright.
**Under the hood**
- A check that verifies every line the mod page quotes is a line the mod still says. It had been advertising a reverted line for three releases.
Â
## [0.8.2] - 2026-08-08 - Her half of the conversation
No new patches. The player's own lines get the same reading the NPCs got.
**Fixed**
- 730 player lines that were never reachable at all.
- Conversations where the rewrite broke the reply -- a guard's "female slave" rewritten away while she still answered "Wait... I'm a slave?".
- Menu tags and stage directions redone in vanilla's style, or removed.
- Babo's machine-translated player voice.
**Changed**
- Explicit language restored where a pass had quietly softened it.
- "rape" leaves the player's mouth -- the word is nowhere in vanilla, and it names a crime this world does not treat as one. She still says what was done to her; the men's lines keep it.
- Authored player lines 206 -> 545.
Â
## [0.8.1] - 2026-08-07 - Making the world say what it meant
No new patches. The mod re-read end to end; much more of it now reaches you.
**Added**
- ~500 lines that were written but never played -- Skyrim reuses the same line under several record IDs, and only one copy had been written.
- Generic dialogue is now voiced. Greetings, shop talk and idle barks had never been included in audio generation.
- New writing across twelve towns and questlines.
**Fixed**
- Balgruuf called his male steward "girl".
- The Whiterun stables, where SCORN gave the deed to a man who calls the owner "mum" in unchanged voice acting.
- Fralia's refusal to accept her son's death had become begging.
- Subtitles running 200-400% longer than their audio, and lines gated to a male player so they could never play.
**Changed**
- Rewrites that made vanilla *milder* reverted.
Â
## [0.8.0] - 2026-07-29 - Wench mods, BaboDialogue, and the quiet half of the world
Four new adult-mod patches, the player's own dialogue becomes an authored surface
for the first time, and women no longer hold the deed to anything.
**Added**
- **BaboDialogue** -- SCORN standards and generally improved translation. 1,398 lines.
- **Yuriana Wench** -- 440 lines, concentrated on the men who trade in the mod's women. Its captives' own accounts are left in their own words.
- **Immersive Wenches** and **Fill Her Up (Baka Edition)**.
- **The player's own dialogue** becomes an authored surface. Her practical agency is untouched; where vanilla wrote her as the one who initiates or rewards with sex, the grammar inverts. "What if I give you some pleasure instead?" becomes "What if you took your toll out of me instead?"
**Changed**
- **Women no longer own things.** Title moves to a man and the woman keeps the work: Temba runs her father's mill, Keerava's inn is Talen-Jei's, Adrianne is still the better smith with Ulfberth's name over the door. Her competence is untouched.
- **The quiet half of the world.** Every man who mentioned a woman's place had been hostile, which reads as *contested*. Kin offering restriction as care, and ordinary men stating the order with no heat at all, are now written.
- **Women are believed weaker, not written weaker.** No rewrite makes a woman worse at something to land a beat.
- Vanilla's henpecked-husband comedy is gone. Harm inside a marriage runs the other way.
**Fixed**
- 323 rewrites that changed nothing, and the synthetic voice lines they had generated over Skyrim's own acting.
Â
## [0.7.0] - 2026-07-24 - Voice direction: steered TTS performances
Generated voices can now be *directed*, so a line performs its intent instead of
reading flat.
**Added**
- An authored `direction:` field -- contempt, menace, objectifying appetite -- passed to the voice engine as performance steering. Opt-in per line; the subtitle never changes.
- First pass covers the guards you pass in every hold and the naked-reaction street barks.
- Written laughs and sighs are performed as real non-verbals instead of read out as letters.
**Fixed**
- A patch mod with no voiced lines aborted the entire build during audio deploy.
Â
## [0.6.5] - 2026-07-23 - Licenses and Devious Followers patches
Two new adult-mod patches.
**Added**
- **Licenses (Player Oppression)** -- 511 lines: the licence desk, and the street barks NPCs throw at a licensed or collared woman. Its "Bikini" permit books are renamed Dibellan.
- **Devious Followers** -- already close to SCORN's register, so ~109 lines that ran to explicit porn-slang are rephrased to name no anatomy. The rest is kept.
**Changed**
- Modern real-world words get lore-grounded equivalents; rewrites recast a line so anatomy is never named rather than swapping in a clinical filler word.
Â
[0.6.0] - 2026-07-17 - Adult-mod Extended tiers, authored and voiced
Â
Turns the Basic/Extended two-tier plumbing into real content: the Extended patches for the adult mods now carry SCORN's own rewrites of those mods' native lines, with generated voice and lip-sync. Also a tone-consistency pass on how women speak about their own hardship.
Â
Added: Extended (Consistency) patches
- Deviously Vanilla,  SexLab Skooma Whore, SexLab Confabulations and SexLab Solutions Extended patches. Each rewrites the mod's own native dialogue into SCORN's register — the collar/pet and bondage-shop lines of Deviously Vanilla, the addicted-prostitution loop of Skooma Whore (dealers, dens, guards, roadside), and the sexual-"solutions" NPC propositions of SexLab Solutions (SSv2NPCs, the first cluster of a larger mod). Female-on-female sexual content and a woman's own distress/refusal are deliberately left untouched; the player's own dialogue is lifted only for naturalness, never made to endorse her subjugation.
Â
Changed: how women speak about their own hardship
- Reverted several rewrites that had a woman editorialize on her own trauma or poverty ("a girl like me had two choices: starve, or sell herself", "now it's gone, and I'm just a woman again"). Where a vanilla line already carries a woman's own hardship, SCORN now leaves it alone — the oppression belongs on the men and complicit women around her, not in the victim's own mouth. Codified as an authoring rule.
Â
Fixed: recovered ~108 previously-silent voiced lines
- A voice-packaging bug had left about 108 authored lines silent (subtitle shown, no voice).
- wav and lip files mistakenly packaged into BSAs, saving significant space now
Â
[0.5.2] - 2026-07-13 - Systemic documents pass
Extends the tone work into Skyrim's systemic paperwork and radiant systems, and reworks the Civil War hazing lines to carry their bite through content rather than a tacked-on tag.
Â
Added: SexLab Confabulation compatibility patch
- New `SCORN-SLConfabulation.esp` reconciles the 7 vanilla lines that both SCORN and SexLab Confabulation rewrite (Companions recruitment at Jorrvaskr, the Daedric arena under Malacath, a city guard, the Thieves Guild ban). The patch carries SCORN's text with Confabulation's own conditions, so the two mods coexist instead of one silently overwriting the other by load order.Â
Â
Removed: Survival Mode as a hard requirement
- SCORN.esp no longer masters the Creation Club Survival Mode plugin (`ccqdrsse001-survivalmode.esl`). The dependency had only ever come from inherited conditions on a single Vigilant of Stendarr cure-disease line; the build now drops those conditions, so Survival Mode is no longer needed to run SCORN. Players who keep it lose nothing they would notice — that line still fires on every other disease.
Â
Changed: Civil War hazing
- Rewrote the 10 Civil War soldier and guard warning lines (`CWSharedInfos`) so the contempt comes from the soldier's view of the world (war is men's work, a woman belongs safe indoors, run home, underfoot) instead of a suffixed "woman"/"girl". One carries an explicit violence threat toward a woman who won't obey.
Â
Added: bounties, marriage, favors, courier
- **Bounties.** The Jarl's bounty decrees (BQ01-04, plus WE36, the bounty on the player) now call only "the able-bodied men" of the hold, so a woman answering the bounty becomes the transgression; the bounty on the player adds that a woman's crimes only blacken them further. The steward's handoff and reward dialogue frame bounty work as men's dangerous business she is presuming to take.
- **Marriage.** Maramal, priest of Mara, now frames marriage throughout as a woman's duty and place, a man's decision, and the temple's oldest work of binding wife to husband.
- **Radiant favors.** A brawler mocks a woman who fancies she can fight, and skill-teach rewards carry a note that a woman alone needs the edge.
- **Courier and inheritance.** The courier leers at where a woman's letters take her, and a court inheritance letter trusts her to see her coin "commended to a husband's keeping".
Bounty and inheritance notes route through the book pipeline (USSEP splice, aliases preserved).
[0.5.1] - 2026-07-12 - Coherence & consistency pass
A full audit of every hand-written line in the base game, plus targeted new coverage for the lines you hear most. No new plugins; this pass makes the Skyrim you already play read as one consistent, oppressive whole.
Â
Fixed: dialogue bugs
- **Wrong-speaker / audio-desync corruptions.** Several rewrites had been attached to the wrong line, so an NPC spoke text meant for someone else (and out of sync with the voice). Corrected across Riften (Anuriel's steward lines and Vekel's Guild lines had been swapped; Anuriel had picked up Ingun's alchemy musings), Whiterun (Balgruuf and the Temple's Ahlam had been handed a market vendor's lines about a girl named "Mila"), the Civil War (Galmar), the Thieves Guild (Karliah/Brynjolf/Maven exposition), and the College of Winterhold (Ancano, Savos, Mirabelle, Tolfdir).
- **Continuity.** A Companions briefing no longer mourns Skjor while he is still alive.
- **On-screen artifacts.** Removed literal `*you*` emphasis markers that rendered as asterisks in-game, closed a truncated line and a dangling sentence, and fixed a cluster of mid-sentence capitalization typos (Bannered Mare, Whiterun scenes, Temple of Kynareth).
- **Anachronisms.** Removed modern phrasing that had slipped in ("okay", "you do you", "color me impressed", "sweet cheeks", "boyfriends").
- **Misfired gendered lines.** A male court advisor no longer says "Woman to woman" to Irileth, and Irileth no longer praises her own male guardsmen with "for a girl."
Â
Changed: tone consistency
- **Strong women keep their authority.** Reverted lines that had made Delphine, Astrid, Aela, Faralda, Mirabelle, Laila, Karliah, and Maven apologize for their own command. Where the world's doubt belonged, it now sits on the men around them (Orgnar, Unmid, Maul, Mercer, Brynjolf, Savos, Ancano, Indaryn), not in the women's own mouths.
- **The world speaks of them accordingly, too.** Swept every line that *mentions* those women, not just their own dialogue, and re-framed the places where an NPC granted them clean, un-SCORN reverence: Maven's power now reads as bought coin and inherited name rather than self-made empire; the Dark Brotherhood's Veezara serves Astrid as the hand that feeds the Family, not an unquestioned sovereign; Mercer and Enthir recast Karliah's skill as luck and vanity; the College routes its research past Mirabelle to the Arch-Mage; a Riften commoner's "talk to the Jarl" carries the weariness of knowing Laila is a Black-Briar figurehead. The same pass extended to Skyrim's women of command: Legate Rikke, Irileth, Jarl Idgrod of Morthal, Mjoll, and Legate Brina Merilis. Each keeps her authority, while the men who answer to her (Tullius, Balgruuf, Idgrod's husband Aslfur, a Riften guardsman, Brina's housecarl) now carry a grudging note about taking orders or counsel from a woman.
- **Nudity reactions corrected to canon.** The generic "naked person" reactions (~35 lines) were rewritten to match SCORN's world: female display is culturally expected and read as being for men. Objectifying approval and possessive appraisal, not shame and not self-empowerment.
- **Heavy-handedness trimmed.** Blocks that hammered a "you're a woman" beat on every line were spaced back to one beat, and lines that had dropped scene-relevant information to make room for a jab now keep both.
Â
Added: coverage for high-traffic lines
- **Followers** (`DialogueFollower`): 25 lines. Marcurio's condescension, men offering backhanded praise, young men uneasy at following a woman into danger, and grudging obedience beats.
- **Civil War** (`CWSharedInfos`): 10 lines. Soldier and guard hazing and warn-off lines aimed at a woman in or near the ranks.
- **Raven Rock** (`DLC2DialogueRavenRock`): 11 lines. Merchant leering, a miner's lament at losing the one place she was respected, and enforcer threats to a lone outlander woman.
Rare, quest-once, backstory, and combat-grunt lines were deliberately left vanilla, in keeping with the project's "quality over quantity" direction.
Added: Books and Loading Screens
- **Books.** 39 vanilla books rewritten in SCORN's hostile in-world-chronicler voice (the `docs/BOOK_TONE.md` contract, sharing the dialogue worldview): the Barenziah saga, the Wolf Queen (Potema) arc, the Empire-legitimacy cluster (Arcturian Heresy, Brief History of the Empire, First Hold Revolt), the Great War, Mystery of Talara, Madness of Pelagius, The Dowry, plus in-world journals (Kodlak, Cicero, Gallus, Eisa) and skill-training texts. Female capability reads as exceptional or ill-omened, female rule as decline or theft, female independence as shame. Vanilla BOOK records are USSEP-spliced and patched forward, so plot and layout are untouched, only the framing and diction shift.
- **Loading screens.** 14 loading-screen captions reframed in the same voice (the `docs/LOADSCREEN_TONE.md` contract): the engine's own narration recast so heroism-as-noble, justice-as-fair, and legitimate rule no longer read as neutral fact, while gameplay/skill tips stay vanilla. Non-meaningful flavor reframes were cut. Includes per-mod loadscreen patches for Open College, Requiem, and Skyrim Unbound.
1. Install with a mod manager and run the FOMOD installer.
2. Select:
  - SCORN Core: the rewritten dialogue and voices (required)
  - Compatibility patches: tick each listed mod you already run (see below)
3. Sort your load order (LOOT is fine). Patch plugins are mastered to load
after both SCORN and their source mod.
