About This File
The Tera Elin remastered mod has a custom face that is different to vanilla face proportions, which causes face overlays to misalign.
I tried to realign them.
This is the result.
I got Community Pack 3 overlays converted but its the Head parts only. you'll need the original for the race menu script and the rest of the tattoo for other body parts.
This also mean they WILL be misaligned if you put them on a vanilla race.
Its also 3-6X bigger file size wise. Sorry, I don't know how to reduce it.
Guide to Do It Yourself
Using gimp because it can open .dds and its free (I'm using 2.10 so some things might not be up to date)
Short from redrawing it, this guide is to help people who want to convert face overlays to fit on the Elin race:
Make two guides
on the reference image or even a blank layer, right click, image > guide
Horizontal 1024 pixels from 0 (top left)
Vertical 66 from 0
Enable snap to guide on upper tab view > snap to guide
Make sure snap to grid is disabled or the above won't work (because gimp is awful)
Squish the layer to 1024
Then move to the right 66
You don’t have to be this precise, it won't always align right either. Some overlays may require re-adjusted, such as ones that only cover the ears or are in seperateable areas, but for overlays that cover the whole face, this is good enough. Elin’s face proportion are different enough to misalign a few things but not enough to resort to remaking the texture.
There are two files, make sure both are converted just in case.
For transparent:
Create a new empty layer
Make sure only that and the texture is visible
Merge visible
For black background (NORMAL maps)
Create a new empty layer
Pipet the black
Fill the new layer with that colour
Make sure only that and the texture is visible
Merge visible
crop the image to 4096x4096. if you don't, that small part you move off-screen will also be saved and throw off the proportion.
Export, replacing the Original
