The Riverbrookes were a well-renowned family that ruled over a small town called Riverbrooke for many years. The history of the town had been wiped clean when it was taken over by a rival clan. The resourceful sisters found their way to a larger city and took it for their own as they tried to recover.

 

 

Dena Riverbrooke is the eldest and thus the Elder, the de-facto leader. She is brash, cold, and barbaric to some, efficient to others.

 

 

Iya Riverbrooke is the middle child, the Bearer who will take over if something should happen to Dena. Always a trickster, she delights in bewildering others around her.

 

 

Maien Riverbrooke is the youngest and the Keeper, the one who writes official records and makes deals. She's more comfortable with books than combat and is often underestimated.

 

 

The sisters strike up a plan to get revenge on the rival clan with their mother's greatsword. Maien questions weather they have the strength to return. And Iya questions if they even want to return yet. The sisters can only agree to the fact that they want to return home. That night, Dena is captured by an assassin who can't get a read on her.

Later, Maien watches as Iya practices her magic. Maien wants to start a search party to find Dena, but Iya doesn't like dealing with the people in the city, asking Maien to trust her. Iya is amazed that Maien still cares for Dena after she's been so cold to her in the past.

 

 

In an old cabin, a soldier, a blacksmith and his pet wolf discuss a plan for revenge. 

 

 

Iya wonders how much her youngest sister knows when she runs into the captain of the city guard, Relis. He claims to have a way to rid Iya of the bureaucrats that she can't stand. She strikes a deal with him. They have sex to the delight and chagrin of members of their clan, as Iya commands them to watch. Afterwards, Iya whispers to herself that it's illegal for the captain to mate with her, but claims that a deal is a deal.

 

 

In a flashback, Iya and Dena talk on a rooftop. Dena says that she can't understand Maien lately. That she needs experience. Iya says she'll be herself when they go back home, but that Maien is smart. Maien listens in on this conversation.

 

 

In the present day, Dena is tied up and back home in Riverbrooke, now ruled by the rival family Riverwood. Alvor the Blacksmith ties her up and posts her outside his shop. People come by and gawk at her, calling her a bitch. Alvor reminds her that she killed brethren of his and rapes her. After he leaves her alone, she somehow frees herself and shoots him with a mystical bow.

 

 

Meanwhile, Maien meets a wolf that she thinks is leading her to her sister. She can't help but have sex with it in the wilderness.

 

 

In a flashback to the night before Dena was kidnapped, she visits Maien in her room. Maien is reading a book in the nude. In between the scenes with Maien and her pet, we learn more about the sisters. Dena asks Maien if she's realized who her sisters are. Maien says yes. They are Daedric princes. Maien says she also realized she is Mara, the goddess of love.

 

 

Maien later reveals that she was toying with her sister to get back at them for hiding the truth from her. She's not Mara, like her sisters had thought, but Sanguine, the Daedric Prince of sin, lust and gluttony. Dena admits that she herself is Molag Bal, the Daedric Prince of domination, and she's known for a long time. While Iya is Clavicus Vile, the prince of trickery and wishes.
