Well it didn't take long for me to realise that Solomia was missing, so I was the sole member of my family here. I belonged on the Skystone Throne. But the sounds of fighting were rife among the walls of the castle, and I knew exactly who it would be. The Draconhams. I hadn't ran into them for a few days so I suppose they'd be hot on my trail at least. And I was right, outside the gates was Ilda Draconham.

 

Shea: So I see taking me prisoner wasn't enough for you, now you want my home. Maybe this place would look better with a few traitorous heads.

 

 

Ilda: Raven Castle has fallen, your escape was useless. Orianna holds the Raven Crown, so actually, you're the traitor.

 

 

Shea: I'm the traitor? Says the one wearing the armour of the one they betrayed, the one who broke her vow to the Queen. 

 

 

Ilda: No. I'm the one who chose a better future for our kind, you would've let Queen Esmeralda continue failing everyone. But that's in the past now. Come treat with me. Thousands of people don't have to die.

 

 

Shea: Hundreds of mine, thousands of yours. And that's if you can breach the walls.

 

 

Ilda: I assure you we will, but I don't think everyone wants to fight for someone else's home. Now I give you a choice. Surrender the castle, and you and your men survive. Or stay and we'll kill all of you.

 

 

Shea: I trusted you once before, I'll never make that mistake again.

 

 

Ilda: I'm sure you won't. I'll be seeing you soon.

 

 

Shea: And stay away you pale eyed bitch!

 

 

A few minutes later...

 

Shea: Maybe she's right though. maybe it's time to say goodbye to this rugged old place, it's a bit useless now. It's the only one not under royal control. maybe that might make them think they've won.

 

 

Shea: Well it's as good a plan as any.

 

 

Shea: Commander! Send an envoy to Ilda, tell her that we surrender.

 

 

A few hours later...

 

Shea: I trust you are going to keep your word?

 

 

Ilda: Of course I will. A word once given. I assure you, you are making a good choice for me and for you of course.

 

 

Shea: I wouldn't think it such a good choice.

 

 

Shea: Well that's a name off my list.

 

Shea: I must've had an effect on her if she didn't see that coming.

 

 

Shea: Now where to go? I can't go back into Skystone now. I suppose Solomia was my worry now, she was gone. Sofia was always sceptical of the Queen so I'm sure she's fine. Solomia, gods where would she be?

I know this one is a little shorter than the others. But I need an excuse to skip some time in the story.
