Last minute add-offs

Okay, the Edhildil Variable set is pretty much prepped. Errors re-checked, solo .esp cut, distribution pack made, etc. All I've got left to do is upload it and write up the posts for it, and I'll probably be able to get to that in the morning, unless my RL schedule has some more obnoxious stuff in store for me this week.

My original plan was for this to be the entirety of the 2.4 update, but just having the one pack updated felt a little thin, looking back at my previous installments. So I decided, uh, about three hours ago, to implement a change I've been thinking about for a while. One that actually removes some items.

Waaaaaay back when I first started this project, with just the head replacements, I realized after I had got them all built that the crested versions of the skulls would've been less cluttery if I had implemented the crest as an add-on piece of armor instead of making the crested skulls completely separate models and armor entries. But I didn't change it at the time because the Bloody Skull, which happened to have been the first one I did, wasn't at all in alignment with the other skulls and thus its crest couldn't use the same model as the other skulls. At first I didn't change it because I was lazy, and then because it happened that the position the Bloody Skull was in worked pretty well with the Ripper Circlet. It wasn't until I was working on the Gilded helmet set and saw how well the Bloody Skull worked with it that I gave in and re-positioned it.

After that there was basically no reason not to re-implement the crest as an add-on. It just took me a while to get around to it. While I was at it I also made a version with the chroming re-applied, like I did for the Gilded Crested helmet, and threw in a skull-fit version of the Ripper Circlet. Getting that re-positioned actually took the most time out of any of this. And I tweaked the crest so that it works halfway decently with the Elf Skull. There's still some obnoxious gaps at the front of the dome of the skull, but the clipping at the skull's apex that made me give up on the crested version when I first put the elf skull in is fixed.

Of course, as a result of this the existing crested versions of the skulls are all going bye-bye. So if you have one equipped on a character, it will vanish after the update and you'll have to replace it with the regular skull and the add-on crest. Can't really do the same thing with the eyes or the 'guro' versions, however, so those will continue on as-is.

It does feel kind of weird to be getting rid of items, though. Even if it is only a loss of about a dozen items compared to the 200+ the Edhildil Variables alone are adding.
