Well, that simplifies matters
No new stuff to show off this time, just an observation about Outfit Studio that I stumbled onto today: When doing a large number of versions of the same outfit, like I'm doing with this variable limb stuff, it's a LOT easier to open up the .osp files with Notepad++ and manually edit the zap parameters than it is to set each one, one-by-one, for each version in Outfit Studio's GUI. Like, holy fucking cow easier. For the Gynoid set, I just did in one morning what took me the better part of a week of mind-numbing tedium to do with the Bikini set. Wish I had noticed this sooner. It'll certainly make the Edhildil set go by quicker too, once I figure out what to do about those feet. And you can also re-arrange the zap's positions on the list in Bodyslide this way, which will come in handy for some future plans...
I had been considering pushing the variable Gynoid back to a later release entirely because I was dreading going through the zap work again, but I don't really have that excuse anymore. Still have the Creation Kit work to do for the Gynoid set, though, which is its own brand of mind-numbing tedium that I sadly don't have a handy shortcut like this for. And building the ground models, although that's fairly simple now. At this point it's mainly a question of what other stuff I want to get done before pushing out an update. Still haven't even started on stuff like ground models for the heads and outfits, for instance. And while I've had some success in building a basic custom spell for the Aster, I still haven't figured out how to get it to do what I want it to do, effect-wise. Maybe I'll manage to stumble onto something there, too.
