Entry 12- Moving right along... Maybe :>
I've been slowly plugging away at this mod, starting to change over the infrastructure within it to remove quite a bit of the sex in it initially. (I'll discuss this more in a little bit.) Progress is still slow though, a lot of things need to be completely changed from what was seen in v0.9.
Anyways, over time, a story has created itself in my mind. It's still going through many, many changes, even now. There are a few things that are set in concrete however. First of all, a lot of the initial sex is going to be removed entirely. Instead of getting... raped by Tigras to begin with, a completely new intro scene will unfold when you first enter his cave. Be ready for a fight.
The rest of the scenes will be replaced by other various things that you will need to do to prove yourself to Tigras as a worthy beta, eventually culminating in the two of you fighting an entire pack of werewolves to claim some new territory... Or you can help him once, and leave him be like a bitch that isn't worthy of him... your choice (don't do it! *sniffle*). Anyways, don't worry about there being not enough sex around though. There will still be plenty of it later on. I'm just sick of this mod being "mindless sex". Its pointless, and doesn't really have any value in it. No matter how much work it takes, v1.0 will end up being completely different than its last iteration.
This will also give me a common point between the male and female storylines that I can use when I'm designing the male portions of the quest. (Which won't happen soon because I still don't have any male hybrid meshes.) I really want to discuss this more, but it will never happen without the appropriate meshes...
I'm also sticking with completely removing the first three forms of the werewolf hybrid "armors". Because of switching the "trigger" for the transformation process, it will be a lot easier, and also make any modellers that take an interest in what I'm up to (hah, yeah right...) have a lot easier of a job. Ideally I would like to separate the arm and leg meshes (the leg part would still cover the body slot though. It is completely necessary.) So I have some liberty to work with that still.
Also, I don't think I'm going to voice Tigras initially. I want to get the dialogue worked out first, because a lot of my initial writing tends to end up being very.. cheesy. I don't really want to have to redo all the lines that I will inevitably rewrite later. We'll see though. I'm honestly not sure if my own voice is worthy of voicing Tigras to begin with.
I'm also thinking about adding a time limit to a specific part of the quest, where if it is not done in time, the entire quest will fail. I will be fairly generous with the time limit, but I was wondering what others thought of it. Just to clarify, it would make perfect sense in light of the situation, and would give you more than enough time to finish, as long as you are actually trying. I think it would add an interesting layer into the mod. This will be a thing unless someone can come up with a compelling reason against it.
*Edit* Also, a couple more notes. I'm thinking I'm going to abandon doing a Chaurus episode. There are a lot of other modders who are working on similar things, so I feel like I'd be wasting my time trying to compete with them. This is also true for a spriggan episode I was thinking of working on as well. So those won't be happening.
