The sun reached his highest point in the coulded horizon of Skyrim. Midday, the most uncomfortable time of day for those whose blood boils in the sun's heat. Not even a hood was able to protect against the rays heating up the pale skin, letting every movement and the very thought about the sun cause uncomfortable pain, both physically and mentally. Toki stroked his companions hair and pointed at a nearby mill, leading her towards the door.

Both quickly went inside and inspected the room. It wasn't quite comfortable, just a few simple beds which seemed to already have lost the major parts of their stuffed straw to the ground, causing a mess under the beds. There also were some chairs and tables with very simple and cheap dishes. As his companion sat down on one of the beds, Toki grabbed a can and lifted it to his mouth just to realize it was already empty except a few drops of water. Quite disappointed not to find any ale he threw it into one corner.

Toki took out his map and searched for theri current location. "Mixwater Mill," he said to her and pointed at a specific point on the map: "I think we are here. Seems we did quite the march today. Too bad we only crossed a few bandits so we didn't had much fun, but at least we are close to Windhelm now."

Marina didn't responded anything, she just sat on the bed and watched Toki who immediately understood what that specific look of hers meant. He stood up, caressed her cheek and then tipped a few times on his neck. "Come, darling, drink a bit before we take a little nap." Quite slowly Marina got up and passionately kissed her lover, their tongues playfully danced between their lips. Toki tilted his head a little and stroked her hair while she pushed her teeth into his neck to drain a bit of his red juice. Even though her need for blood quickly was sated they stood there for a while, caressing each other and sharing the sensation of their bodies pressing together.

These minutes felt longer than years for Toki, but he soon was dragged back to reality as Marina sat down again, letting herself drop onto the messed up bedsheets. He patted her head twice and sat down on the chair again, watching as Marina lays down on the bed, slightly curling together. Yet again Toki had to smile as the vampiress started to purr in her sleep. Hearing that was one of the most adorable things he experienced in the long centuries of his travels and adventures, and he loved to hear it, mainly because it means that she not only fully trusted him but also was happy, even though they had entcounterd many vile entcounters and she was one of the most evil creatures in the eyes of most mortals.

Suddenly a tiny hand appeard under the bed Marina was sleeping in, crawling upwards until it reached her face. Alterted by this possible thread Toki jumped up from the chair and drew his battleaxe, shouting at the owner of the hand: "Stop right there, don't dare to move! Who are you?"

Another little hand appeard at the side of the bed and then the head of a little girl showed itself between the hands. She was quite scared by the tall Nord with the brown beard, but as Toki realized she was just a child he sheated his axe again, removing her fear. She pointed at Marina and started tu stutter: "A-Are those c-catears?"

With a broad smile Toki petted the girl with one hand and Marina with the other, making the first one giggle and the second one purr again. A knife was pressed against his back and a deep voice started to ask questions: "Who are you? What do you want?" Toki wasn't impressed by the blade at all, so he turned around and stared the other man into his eyes. "My name is Toki," he stroked Marina's hair: "And this is my lovely daedric vampiress. And yes, these are indeed catears." With a warmly smile Toki caressed her cheek and then turned towards the man again: "Don't worry, we don't mean any harm to innocent people. But what about you?"

The man sheates his blade and then pointed first at the girl and then at himself: "Morrigan. Griffith. I am her guardian."

"May I...pet her?", asked Morrigan while staring at Marina and trying to wait for the permission to touch her. "I am sorry, she doesn't really likes if anyone but me does it.", replied Toki who kneeled down to wake her up with a sweet kiss. Griffith observed Marina as she slowly woke up and she replied to Toki's kissing: "You said she is a...daedra?" After a short time looking over the two unknown faces and deciding that they are no threat she asnwered herself: "Well, a demi-daedra maybe. But don't worry, I won't make mere mortals work for me and drag their souls into my realm; and that is not only because I don't have such a realm in the first place."

A conversation started between these four, they shared some of their experiences, stories of their travels and Griffith revealed some incidents of his past, what happened to his family and how he and Morrigan ended up in this situation.

They talked quite the time with each others and except a few minutes in which Marina tried to keep her distance to Morrigan because she mentioned that she'd love to ride a horse some day, which lured her phobia out, the midday was a quite pleasant one for all of them, and soon the sun already had wandered through the horizon, opening the sky for the evening and the moon.

Toki and Marina parted from Morrigan and Griffith, thanking them for the nice talk and time spent together, heading through the upcoming night to Windhelm in order to repair their gear, buy more bolts and then head out to stroll through the planes of Nirn again, creating the essence of legendary stories that never should be told or sang.
