Some Quality-of-Life Improvements I've Learned for Taking Screenshots in Skyrim
The best quality of life tip I could offer would be use a second screen, so you can keep track of your photo shoot and what shots you've taken in real time. I try to tell a story through pose and facial expression sequence during a photo shoot, and having my screenshots constantly displayed on another screen gives me the advantage of not having to alt-tab to another window to review my photos. I find this really helps me build a sense of momentum in a photo session because I have a clearer sense of where the shoot is going, almost like having a storyboard.
The second main tip I'd offer that doesn't require mods but still makes a contribution, is use an app like Microsoft Clipchamp to compose your raw photos into final slideshow sequence. I decided to use mp4 video slideshows for my blogs because of the sheer amount of scrolling it would take to view a session with many photos. Again, having a second screen in this operation is invaluable because it allows me to have the screenshots window on one monitor, and just dragging them to Clipchamp's active monitor.
Another big advantage with using an app like Clipchamp to organize your raw images into a presentation is it's an easy way to change their order in your final slideshow without having to rename files.
VISUAL ENHANCEMENTS
Now for a couple of what I found to be game-changing additions to the game, which I think all Skyrim screen archers could benefit from. In virtual photography, lighting is your friend so any way you can make it work for you and improve the visual quality of your shoot is great.
Enhanced Lights and FX at Nexus Mods offers an almost complete overhaul of the vanilla game's lighting; among other changes, light only comes from light sources such as torches. While this makes the experience of actual gameplay more immersive, it also makes a huge difference to the quality of screenshots I'm able to take in some locations. For example, in the photo studio mod I use the crystal cavern you can see in my slideshow was over-lit and nearly impossible to use.
Skyrim Re-Engaged ENB while the previous mod overhauls the way light sources are managed, this mod is an enhancement to Skyrim's complete lighting system using ENB. How much of a difference does this lighting change make? After getting this up and running for a photo shoot, I decided to start a completely new playthrough just so I could experience the familiar adventure with a fresh element. I'd been getting jaded with the game and taking screenshots for a while, but this was the shot in the arm my game needed.
MODEL'S APPEARANCE AND CLOTHING
Baby Girl - HD Fair Skin Complexion for Women this mod overhauls the skin textures the game uses to be higher definition, for all applicable women. On its own it was already a huge improvement to the base game - many of the female vanilla NPCs are actually quite attractive once you upgrade the game's vanilla textures. With ENB added though, it really shines as the lighting can highlight more subtle details.
Proteus while this mod claims to offer a completely new way to play Skyrim, the part of most use in this one is the ability to select virtually any NPC in the game and recruit them as a follower.
Nether's Follower Framework this mod offers a quality of life improvement for Skyrim gaming in general as it allows deep customization of your follower's behavior; more importantly for screenshots it offers a convenient way to change what a model is wearing.
Of course there have been other mods that changed how I approach screenshots, but that would be my top five
