"Well look who's here. Long time no see! A couple of days, at least!"

I blinked my eyes open as the last waves of the orgasm faded away. A familiar smell and a tangible heat immediately kicked my lust back into gear, and I looked up at the grinning red face of a certain naked red demigod.

"You!!" I snapped to my feet, and the movement clearly started him, because his grin turned to a frown.

"Yes, me. Wha..."

I slapped him as hard as I could across his cheek. The sound that carried across the surreally exotic landscape was the crack of my wrist breaking at the impact. He didn't even have the decency to pretend that the slap affected him by moving his head even a millimeter.

"Ooh," he said with a grimace. "That's gotta hurt."

I cradled my wrist in my other arm as tears streamed down my face, but the tears were only in small part due to the physical pain.

"WHY?! WHY DID YOU LET THEM DO THAT TO ME?! WHY DID YOU LET ME ROT IN THAT PLACE FOR SO LONG?!"

Sanguine sighed and a look that might have passed for pity crossed his face. "You needed to learn about yourself. You were running all over the place playing around instead of focusing on what was important."

I opened my mouth, but his words made so little sense that the only thing I could come up with to say was, "What?"

"I know, it doesn't make sense to you right now because you didn't get a chance to..."

"Focusing on WHAT WAS IMPORTANT?!" In that moment, I didn't care that I was talking to a creature who could snuff me out with a twitch of an eyebrow. Even the usually overpowering lust my body couldn't help but feel in his presence was momentarily quelled in my anger. "The dragons KILLED EVERYONE! There is NOTHING LEFT! I was TRYING to find a way to SAVE EVERYONE! HOW IS THAT NOT IMPORTANT?!"

Sanguine waved a negligent hand. "See, that's exactly what I mean. None of that matters. So a few mortals were killed. So the dragons began a new era of domination and enslavement of the rest of the sentient life on that planet. These things happen. It's all cyclical. In just a few millennia the humans and elves and whatnot will find a way to defeat the dragons and free themselves. Then the dragons will come back again. Or, if not the dragons, something else. That's just the way of the universe. The same sorts of things are happening on a billion different planets. I mean, you should see what's happening on Earth right now."

I just gaped at him. I mean, what other reasonable response could there be to such a statement? He sighed.

"You mortals have never been good at seeing the big picture. But in this instance, I'm actually on your side. All of this is meaningless if you don't have a way to learn what you need to learn. And the only way to do that is to make sure you're in a place where there are people that can help you learn. Since 99% of the non-draconic sentient life on that planet is now virtually extinct, there is no way that can happen at this point. So we'll just have to start over."

A wave of cold panic washed over me. “What...what do you mean? Are you sending me somewhere else?" Have mercy, I wanted to beg, but the way his grin reappeared told me that begging would only make him enjoy whatever he was going to say next more. I bit my tongue instead.

"Oh, no. No no no. It's back to Skyrim with you."

"But...you just said..."

Sanguine laughed, a sound that I loathed as much for its mocking tone as for the way it made my body writhe in uncontrollable longing. "As usual, you asked the wrong question. I'm not sending you someWHERE else. I'm sending you someWHEN else." He leaned forward and I discovered I couldn't move as he set a finger on the base of my throat. My traitorous body responded as he moved it in a straight line downward, between my breasts as my nipples hardened and pressed against the fabric of my shirt as if trying to burst free, then over my belly which shivered and quaked. He stopped just short of my swollen and soaked pussy, which throbbed in wanton lust. I desperately wanted him to finish the course, to plunge those long fingers inside of me, even as I desperately tried to will myself away from his touch, to reclaim my body as my own. I felt equal parts relieved and distraught as he pulled away.

"Now that you are dressed the part, let's begin again, shall we?"

I frowned and the word "what" formed on my lips, but before I could utter it, he snapped. The heavenly landscape was replaced in an instant by a smoky torch-lit cave that felt immediately claustrophobic, coming as it did on the heels of the edge of eternity. As the cave formed around me, I heard his voice again, this time a whisper in my mind: “Oh, by the way, I won’t be able to save you this time around. So try not to let yourself be killed, all right? Kthnksbye.”

It took a long disoriented moment to recover enough to notice the man in robes standing in front of me waving his arms around and screaming. It took me another moment to realize that he was speaking words.

"I have done it! I have summoned a demon from beyond the..."

Holy fuck.

"PARMAN??!!"

Don't feed the bastards. Just kill them. Again

Sooo... the original timeline has just been nuked from orbit, yes? And Sian's on her last continue. Lovely. Also: Gotta say that I do have to question Sanguine's line of reasoning here: If he would have spent the last four+ years guiding Sian towards seeing the bigger picture, then he may not have been forced to press the reset-button. But perhaps playing with time itself is less of a bother to him, who knows? Furthermore: I can't help but think that he is trying to downplay how much all of this would effect him in the end. If the dragons subjugate all of Nirn, then that would mean VERY few worshippers for our dear red man. At least for a couple thousand years. And while I'm sure he would be able to deal with it, I'm also quite certain that he wouldn't like it one bit. After all, daedric princes tend to have plans for the little mortals, that they want to see come to fruition. I guess what's left to do now is wait and see how far back Sian was send, what kind of ridiculous outfit she's wearing and who the "mystery-person" is that yelled 'PARMAN!' at the end.😄👍

it was not clear “PARMAN?” was Sian’s own incredulous exclamation?

Thanks for pointing that out. While I hadn't forgotten that Sian's story started near Shor's Stone, I had forgotten that it was in that particular cave.  Tbh, I was wondering what good it would do to send Sian back a few days (at most) and have her meet Parman and Sloan. Sending her all the way back to the start (?), on the other hand, makes much more sense.👍
