dw's 3D Underarm Hair

Based on some of the pubic hair styles from my previous mod, here are 5 different styles of 3D underarm hair for CBBE 3BA and BHUNP. You can either build them as part of the body mesh itself with the included BodySlide projects, with both regular 3BA & BHUNP and Vaginaless 3BA and Vaginaless BHUNP options, or you can wear them as accessories.

Update 08/03/2023: Vaginaless 3BA and BHUNP versions updated to 2.1 and 1.1, respectively

Well darn. Without unique character the hair does show.

What would be the fix then?

It has to have something to do with the way the armor addons are set up in Unique Character.

Unique Character.esp

Give this a shot, though I suspect it'll just break the mod. You may need to ask the UQ author

I ended up going back to total unique player (man there are so many unique character mods now...) and it works fine.

Although now I am kinda curious how much effort it would take to make an sos version of the hairs+schlong so I could randomize it a bit. This is nice

So I tried using wearable 3BA and it works great on all weight, but when I tried to use built in underarm 3BA the hair doesn't scale with the weight. Please help.image.thumb.jpeg.0583f4123961e432a1eb0a8575747460.jpeg

Here's my preset. And are there any zaps on built in underarm? Cause I couldn't find any.

Amazing work! I've been looking for ages for such a mod, but for males actually. Would there be a way to convert armpit hair and pubes as accessories to wear for SAM body mod? I guess things aren't so simple, but I really had to ask and I know many would also be interested. But again all this looks promising, well done.

Thank you. I'll take a look at this later! The zaps should be there though... ?

Yeah, you just need to adapt them for male bodies like I adapted them for CBBE and BHUNP. Outfit Studio should suffice for that purpose. The armpit hair requires an extra trick with bone posing and slider importing though.

Thanks for your quick answer! Okay, but I barely know how to make some basic refits with Outfit studio, I never tried converting from one gender to another, nor adding parts to another mesh etc yet. I may give it a try but I'll have to understand where to start first! Is it okay if I ask for help here or on vector plexus site where SAM mod is hosted?

I encourage you to ask help from wherever you can. Vector Plexus is probably the best place given it's male mod central. This resource might be helpful to you:

armpithair tposed.7z

It's the armpit hair in a t-pose which is a better place to start when working to fit them on your chosen body. Speaking of t-poses, have these too:

untpose.xml tpose.xml

You can use these to t-pose and un-t-pose your body mesh in OS. (Just remember to replace the body mesh once you're done editing the armpit hair mesh, applying a pose in OS alters it permanently and simply trying to apply an opposing pose won't return it to normal)

@rayfer On closer investigation I have noticed that the update I published recently broke morphs and was missing the zaps. Turns out I still had the old version installed myself. Oops. Fixing now

Lol, we ended up posting at the exact same time. Look at my previous post, it's indeed my bad

Thank you very much! I think this will be helpufl, I'll see if I can get help on Vector then, thanks again! :D

One thing that might work would be to edit the colour values in the .nifs directly to have them match the hair color of the NPC you want to use them on. It wouldn't be dynamic, though. Alternatively, you could maybe just make them dark, which would fit most characters and be more realistic anyway

The hair colour syncing mod would still automatically change your player character's hair color, so it wouldn't cause issues.

ok,but how would i do that, making them dark sound like a resonable solution, but i have 0 expericience with .nif archive,i would need nifskope am right?,sorry if am a bit of nuance,is just that am really new to all this

@RBCO Stray

You will indeed need NifSkope. You'll want to navigate to the ShapeData folder inside the underarm hair mod folder of the specific hair you want to edit. Example location: CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData\Wearable Underarm Hair Type 1 Slot 48 (3BA). You could just edit the built armpit .nifs themselves but there are two of each of them because of weight morphing and you'd need to redo the edit if you ever rebuilt them with another preset. Just maybe keep a backup of the original .nif in case you break something. Anyway, open the nif in Nifskope, and navigate to the node shown in the below screenshot:

tint.png.334db7ef20819bfba1b56ec93de9c2ba.png

See the highlighted line that says Hair Tint Color? Click on the white colour. This will bring up a colour wheel where you can pick a new colour. You may have to experiment until you find something that looks good ingame. Alter the colour, save the nif, build the armpit hair you edited and see how it looks in the actual game.

Keep in mind I haven't actually tried this out on these hairs so do let me know if it works out for you!
