On Future Directions

blog-0526943001432403367.jpgI've been thinking about the attached chart a lot lately. Among other things.

I've been working on a new UUNP preset in bodyslide, a shall we say slightly more 'real' flavor of 7BOppai, keeping the high weight as is (it closely aproximates Ivy on the far left there), and adjusting the low weight to more of a natural B-cup or so (with some invaluable input from someone who actually HAS breasts).

This offers a bit more variation along the weight slider (low natural to high artificial/anime) and has the additional advantage that I'd only need to reshape one outfit size for some conversions. Well. The ones I don't feel the need to remake totally from scratch, anyway.

The other thing I find myself considering is the merit of changing over to a static neck seam. The downside is, vanilla outfits would look wrong. Everything would have to be remade to fit the change, creating the integration problem of the LadyBody all over again. But the upshot of consistency + easier to build on in the future…

I've been debating a body project for awhile, using an oppai preset like the one I'm working on as a base, and taking a cue from the Venus body to shrink the wrists to a more proportionate size. If I was going to embrace the incompatibilities that'd inevitably cause, I think I'd wanna do both at once. Wrists and neck.

The big issue is, the greater incompatibilities are, the less likely people are to adopt the project, no matter how much 'better' the quality is. If I go to that point I'm basically taking a Walled Garden approach. Now, admittedly less so than SOME — it's still starting from and building on UUNP, so UNP textures would all still be compatable. But you get what I'm saying.

Hm. Maybe I'll just try it out and see if I think the results are significantly better enough to move forward.

(After I get Skyrim to stop crashing again)
