This is an update on a similar post from last year to answer questions I get from time to time about how I customized Skyrim for my screenshots.
Some changes this year:
- I dropped Climate of Tamriel and a few other mods to trim down my list of mods
- I dropped Requiem (I really didn't like the number of compatibility patches it requires and I couldn't stand the changes to visuals of some effects like Spriggan attacks)
- I merged a few mods into patches (JK's awesome improvements to Skyrim towns and some standalone armor mods)
Also new this year is the use of T.A.Z visual overhaul for my ENB of choice. I tried a few and returned to that one for the overhaul balance of effects (eye adaptation, blueish shadows, bright flames). I am still tweaking it to my liking but it is very enjoyable to play with.
A note about the list below - it IS longer than 255 mods. I enabled about a dozen of mods that would usually be merged into my bashed patch.
Also, this is my list to play as a female character.
When I play as a male character, I also include 'Devious Devices for Him' and I disable a few female-only things like Estrus Chaurus and PSQ Succubus.
The list also includes a few quest mods I am exploring at the moment (Rigmor, Wyrmstooth, Falskaar and Beyond Reach).
