modding out pronouns/rainbow group stuff
Angrybird replied to Kaldor Draigo's topic in Starfield General Discussion
You mean when megacorps make barely characters without character or personality and tag them as gay? It's political , it's moral it's a publicity stunt in the end I don't care because it's shit art that leads to shit products the most egregious example I can recall was Biocringe, a now irrelevant company, going from Zevran an interesting well written character to an irrelevant gay pilot nobody cared about for some twitter feel good cookie points, "LOOK WE MADE THE GAY GUYS!" By all means keep eating this garbage I'll take my money somewhere else. -
Small review, I've reached Neon and will prob stop playing until patches and mods have matured. The game is a joke as a AAA game from a million dollar company, loadings, no landings, small boxes etc it has been said before, gamebryo had run its course 2 games ago but it seems they'll keep a it. At this point only an indie studio could get away with such quality. Aesthetically it looks soulless without much artistic input, NASA punk will be good synonym for uninspired in the coming years, this is mostly an issue in the 1st city which is probably one of the least interesting places I've ever seen in gaming big load of nothing almost as bad as the randomly generated planets, the smaller settlements in closed spaces and interiors in general are much better designed, unfortunately the nasa spunk extends to the ugliest fashion I've ever seen and overall ugliness in npcs, lods are as terrible as they've always been and look like garbage after playing any other big open world game. Since it is such a failure as a big name release I'll compare it to Fallout 4 instead. Quest design has remarkably improved, they weren't all about going to x place and shooting everybody, quite a lot of talking with options and skill and traits checks, I could convince or steal, convince or shoot, end the quest by talking to another person other than the quest giver with other options, I also pushed some switches around while quest giver talked me trough(yes remarkable for bethesda). MQ is still kinda bad but it might be better than fo4. Unfortunately the nasa spunk makes what people say not that interesting, fallout is simply a better designed world. Exploration wise I think the standard model is better, big world see location go there, the star map fails to convey any of that feeling the interesting location simply becomes icon on map instead of big factory, thought if you land on icon it's probably a better experience or at very least equivalent to fallout's 23th building with synths. No comment on random generated stuff it's big nothing, you run around to set up outpost with most resources then send em all to main base, base building is better now and you have top over view to plop down modules it has some problems but better than moving around shack walls in 1st person view. Other customization features are on par nothing much to say there. Combat is fallout 4 again but more brain dead sometimes it feels like they are getting better but then go right back at it, on par or inferior i think it's better in open spaces. The UI is a nonsense clusterfuck inferior to the pitboy, or it certainly feels like it after the 50th time you chose to fast travel, slow and unresponsive. If you liked fo4 you'll probably enjoy this, it feels like a full conversion mod after all, what we like about bethesda games is still there, my criticism are on the pretense that this should be a big name game from a big name company that is worth 70$ or more, absurd, I'm sure modding will make it better but I'm judging the work of the developer which is subpar.

Sad cope video from someone who had been waiting for a Bethesda for years.

Your thoughts about whether to buy Starfield
Angrybird replied to Mister X's topic in Starfield General Discussion
Wait for tighter spacesuits and performance updates. -
Starfield Direct looked amazing. Very promising.
Angrybird replied to viper682's topic in Starfield General Discussion
Performance looks better than previous video which is expected, shooting is same as fo4 it's fine for 2 hours but fights feel like meaningless cacophony afterwards, seems to be leaning on sandboxy open world type gameplay like NMS and other such games which I have little interest in, probably inferior tears of a kingdom in that regard, c&c should be almost non-existent above fo4 at 76 level if lucky definitely no new vegas. Looking at past I expect great failure on the modding scene, hopefully I'm wrong. Spaceporn the game. -
Starfield release date 11/22/22
Angrybird replied to woodsman30's topic in Starfield General Discussion
Barebones Fallout4-like-gameplay, not so hot frame rate, tri body morphs blow. Stats make it look like an rpg but this is worthless if there's no interaction between stats and worl/gameplay, I haven't played 76 but videos I've seen your stats matter more than in fallout 4, make 10% of new vegas and game will be fine at least. Remains to be seen. Modular settlements instead of moving around shack walls this is 100% improvement, same for ships. -
Anyone else not pre-ordering elder scrolls 6
Angrybird replied to calranthe's topic in General Gaming
Both Fo4 and SSE are pain to mod due to version breaking mods I doubt the next Elder scrolls will be better in this regard assuming the it even allows modding in non-stunted way if at all. I doubt I will even buy it. -
midoriya's fight was much better from a technical perspective they didn't quite manage to get the feeling of desperation and passing of the torch wich I think was what was intended. Still good tought.

Hero academia was the only thing I truly enjoyed this season, I started watching 7 Deadly sins but it's worse than the 1st season I dunno not really into it.
-
Season of High school girls doing stuff they'd never do? These aren't terrible and seem relaxing, good sequels, seven deadly sins was cool hopefully overlord will be alright too. Koi wa Ameagari and Violet Evergarden look good and don't seem like bad stories. The iseka one is trash.

You don't mind filler episodes too much, you say? Well, have you seen animes, such as: Naruto, One Piece or Detective Conan? Those are the worst when it comes to fillers. Do yourself a favor and skip all of those series' listed. What? You don't enjoy watching an entire episode dedicated to Naruto's clones going on strike instead of the most intense arc in the story? Are you crazy?

Played this for a bit and enjoyed the use of a not very used region and a not very used faction, foggy reach made me feel like I was far away from civilization.

Are there even bad seasons anymore? it's not like there will always be a breathtaking masterpiece to see but out of 20 or so full shows there's always a handful worth watching. Follow up to Shokugeki no Souma's if you enjoyed previous season, Mahoutsukai no Yome which has been getting praise the manga was good, melodramatic Dies Irae maybe, follow up to Negima meh, Shoujo Shuumatsu seems the most interesting for now I like picking out details of the world in the mellow slice-of-life like post apocalyptic environment of the show and Kujira no Kora seems similar in that regard.
