[mod] Dynamic Big Portrait with Slave Tab
hewhocumsbynight replied to Dwjliel's topic in Crusader Kings 3
Thanks for the mod and thanks for this guide to changing the position. At the moment, using CBO and PA, I can't see any part of any character's face or head in their profile view because they extend off the screen. I'm going to see if I can change that a bit. If I get something that works, I'll post my results. -
Good suggestions! The idea of a repentant heir, always tempted to take the temptation, is intriguing!

Really love this mod, but after a certain point, usually when the Magister's empire extends over all of the holy sites and most of continental Europe, the challenge kinda vanishes. Anybody got any good ideas for keeping the mid to late game interesting and spicy? Assuming that the sheer number of offspring don't cause the game engine to crash, that is.

I packed them into 7zs. No idea if they still work, hopefully they will. Some people have said that the scenes still don't trigger. I don't know, I'm not a professional coder. Use at your own risk and such. CBO.7z CBO Carnal Court.7z

If you pop open the "Aging Gene" file and replace all references to "infant body" with the normal body instead, that will stop the leaf from showing up. Edit the various portrait modifiers and define files to change "age of adulthood" from 18 to whatever for other problems and you're set.

Hello; I am having an issue where every child my character bears (healthy, no negative traits) has sickly. I get the "milk has stopped" event the same day the child is born. To be clear, this issue only began after I added the Physical Attributes mod, so I'm assuming that the mod has somehow caused this issue. Is there any way to stop or prevent this?

Hello; First of all, thank you very much, Mod Creator, for all of your hard work. It's truly appreciated. Second, Simple Shafts/Slits is incompatible now, right? I tried to load them in conjunction with CBO, and I got a variety of display errors. Screenshots attached.

I don't think that CK3 has the infrastructure to handle secret religions yet. I could be wrong, because I know the cryptoreligious mod is a thing, but I don't know how nicely that will play with a modded religion like this one, especially with all the special effects and body changes. Hopefully, Paradox decides to release a Monks & Mystics style DLC for III too.

Ah, a fresh update? Excellent! I needed an excuse to start a new game!

So, I tried removing the trigger in the various places I could find it (Triggers, Schemes, etc.) and I can now target the scheme at related 16-19 year old targets. But I've got a new problem - every single target now has the -1000 "You're Family" malus applied to the chance for success. This includes characters that are newly generated lowborn, so it's definitely applying the rule to everybody. Any idea why removing the 'too young for incestual seduction' trigger would suddenly make everybody part of your family?

Why do governments ban pornography?
hewhocumsbynight replied to s.kirmish's topic in General Discussion
I think that y'all have the correct ideas about the why's behind porn bans. The reasons and packaging vary from place to place, culture to culture, but it ultimately comes down to the expansion and maintenance of the social and political power class by harnessing moral and religious anger. As always, you gotta ask "who benefits from this?" and ultimately the surveillance states and the politicos that lead them are the ultimate beneficiaries of any imposition of greater control without a clear benefit to the public. And to avoid sounding like a libertarian or an anarchist, I'll say this: I am in favor of public sector controls over people. Every line of every workplace health & safety guide was written in blood, and government imposition of control can lead to wonderful things, like food quality standards and clean air and water. The thing is, in those cases, there was a clear and obvious benefit to the general public and to the workers and families that make up the public. In terms of cracking down on pornography, banning abortions, requiring prayer in schools, or other such socio-religious wedge issues, the public isn't benefiting in any tangible way. Pornography bans are something that is relatively easy to support in a speech or bill, act as a way of burnishing your morality credentials, and serve as flashy bait to divide the hoi polloi while drawing attention away from really important issues, in my opinion. TL;DR - Pornography bans are a way of dividing the people and enhancing the power held by state actors. -
I'm not super proficient with Open Office Calc, but I've had my "fun" trying to get functions that work perfectly in Excel to work in Calc. Even doing simple things like pasting cells from Calc to the Open Office writer is a pain in the ass. If you have any other choice, I recommend trying to find a trial or whatever of Excel, or some other alternative. Calc is fine for ledger work and calculation, in my experience, but pretty much ass at everything else.
