  1. Randy, oh Randy! Didn't really like your Borderlands 3, and now with your 'Fork over the $80 bucks for BL4 or you're not a true fan.' bullshit, it looks like you've lost another possible customer, you corporate piece of shit. Oh, and Oblivion Rebastard's keeping me somewhat occupied until something else comes around. Maybe the PC version of Stellar Blade, if the controls include a mouse/kb option with configurable keys and/or an intuitive layout. Here's hoping....
  2. Well, fuck. "Hey," I said to myself just a few days ago, "I think I want to replay S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chornobyl again with the mods I had archived for this very moment." Checks Steam Library. "Oh, the Enhanced Version was installed over the existing game. Wonder what's changed.....oh. Oh wow....Historical Revisioning....gutted due to 'Russian Imagery'; bad optimization, idiotic font and UI, and 'Censored' for the current-day Mental Midget Ministry!" Fucking mentally-deficient humans attempting to hide from another 'Sorrowful Chapter' of reality. What a sad and futile joke. If I really wanted an Enhanced 'Altered for Idiots' version, I would have bought it by now. Give me the Original back, you whiny primates!
  3. True that! I always play offline, block achievements and access for every data 'farming' tool, and always find ways of 'preserving' the games I've paid for that I want to keep if or when a publisher or corporate clownshow goes under due to their ineptitude, greed and self-induced delusions. But yes, I have the game installed now (because someone else gifted me the deluxe version, before I could tell them don't bother), and I still am pretty paranoid about a 'Creation Club' or other additional monetization avenues that might be implemented, AND still awaiting any sign of 'consumer protection' modding bans (I can still see the 5 Steam topics blowing up at the news of 'The Mod of Infamy' being reinstated. Absolutely hilarious....). Data Collection; Declined. I'll decide what they 'need to know', M'kay....
  4. Graphics-wise, I would say the scenery is a nice upgrade. The NPCs however need a ton of work. They look like absolute garbage; the head and body meshes from the original game seem to have been textured over with 'new paint', and still suffer occasionally with textures on limbs and body disappearing. If this is such a remaster, then attention to mesh 'enhancement' of creatures and NPCs should have also been implemented. That means skeletons, too. Reminds me of the ape-like running animation while holding a bow in Skyrim before I modded that out. I do have plenty of issues on the basis of using the bloated mess that is UE5. 115 Gigs for this install?!?! I had to actually mod the game's Engine config files manually before I could even follow the Emperor and guards from my cell without crashing to desktop (that was before I found a mod to handle the settings for me). And yes; it does run okay with a 4 core CPU on medium/low settings using an i7-6700k. Just can't wait for my PC case parts to show up so I can build my new system.
  5. Bought a PS5 w/ disk drive and 2 controllers from a friend, who went 'religious' a month ago, for $150. Only game left he didn't give away was Stellar Blade. Attempted to play 3 times so far, but can't seem to hold a controller anymore for more than 20 minutes before my right hand cramps up severely. My doctor put me through a few tests and concluded I do not have carpal tunnel but I do have tendonitis, mainly along the tendons of two fingers. Weird, since my job is folder/gluer machine operator and can usually offload, form and bundle stacks of product at top speeds of 5,500 to 7,000 pieces per hour (usually solo) for four 8-10hr days per week and only have mild soreness after each day. Stuck with mouse/kb for now, and getting tired of Palworld, 2d old school shooter Selaco, and replaying Borderlands 1.
  6. RIP Valheim.... Steam updates game (even when using Thunderstore MM and NOT choosing to update regularly). Bepinx fails to start game. Check logoutput, sea of red (errors). Wiped everything, installed full backup of files (6-19-22....3 days ago) Savegame and profile in TMM corrupted; started up with only 7 mods active, and all of my progress destroyed. I'm done....
  7. Got back into Valheim again. The HnH update really fucked with the building mods I had installed, so all of my land and sea-based structures were destroyed or are skeletal remains (buildshare-saved ones now useless). Took awhile to get every mod updated and/or edited. And still looking for a game-ready VRM model in the style of Red Sonja or a medieval fantasy female (warrior, mage, etc...) that isn't too toonified or anime-centric. A few attempts with PMX converting to Unity (versions based on creator's recommendations) left me with distorted masses and a hatred for overtly under-detailed instructional videos and those modelers that create models with extensive errors only proficient Blender users can fix. I must be getting old and stupid....sigh....
  8. From what I've experienced from some 'attempts' to use the Custom Textures/Meshes mods, vanilla replacements are doable. Only with low-poly models and textures, though, unless the main asset files (and much of the vanilla shaders) are extracted, improved, and replaced. But a sex system (with addons) would probably mean some serious coding using BepinX, InSlimVML and Jotunn (these still need some polish and optimization for the best results), extended skeletons for any meshes altered/replaced, and an overhaul of some of Unity's Module DLL's in the Managed folder. I would also like to see 'HD' texture replacer modders move away from the vanilla resizing methods of textures and slightly higher poly meshes to a more pronounced quality as well. Less Minecraft, more Skyrim, as it were.
  9. Just got into this game. The Site That Shall Not Be Named already has a nude mod (godawful character meshes and textures be damned!) as well as several other types. Github also has InSlimVML (a sparce mod manager) useful for AdvancedBuilds (prebuilt encampments and housing). Since it's so popular, I believe that many modders will eventually start to tackle meshes for bodies, weapons and armor soon enough.
  10. Well, the cost of a new GPU is not really an issue, ATM. Right now, I've been running Cyberpunk on a 1060 6GB card without major issues (medium/high settings). But a friend of mine gifted me HZD on GOG; however she didn't remember I use Win 7, not 10. And unless there's a workaround for playing the game on a Win 7 OS, I'd be SOL until I find the best solution for 'dealing' with Windows 10.
  11. So...must be my brain acting up again, or I'm tired. Burning question on my mind; Win 7 (primary) and Win 10 (2nd) dual-boot with separate SSD's or Win 7 with Win 10 as Guest Virtual Machine? Would like to keep Win 7 Pro 64 bit as my primary OS, but would also like to have access to DX12 exclusive games (like Horizon Zero Dawn) with a new GPU....say a GTX 2060 or higher. Too much conflicting info on what will work best (Google, Tech 'Pro' sites, Reddit, ...ad nauseum). @GimmeBACON -- Your Sig reflects how I see myself today --- ?
  12. Reinstalled 7 Days toDie recently, just to check out the newest Alpha 19 updates. Quite a difference in graphics and gameplay from my last install (think it was A-16 or so), but much of my time in this version has been modding many aspects I found to be either lacking, missing or just plain irritating (the zombie bird's concussion chance is idiotic when wearing a football or military helmet!). And, although decent changes to the zombie's appearances were made as well, I'd expected the same for the character avatars. Dudes look better for the most part, but the women look like they've just stepped out of a drug rehab clinic, had a traffic accident driving home, and THEN were dropped into the game after a short stint in a hospital! Needs better model assets and work on the appearance sliders, but the devs have plans for this in later builds. Wouldn't rely on modders to fix such issues since this is still in an alpha phase, anyway.
  13. It is fun, sure. But I agree that the humour and storyline falls a little flat. Even predictable most times. And I also like the Moze character (starting on a 3rd playthrough with her again). I just can't get into the Amara one, and FL4K takes a little time to get used to. Oddest thing though is I actually had quite a few Legendaries drop in offline mode, much more than any of the other games. Think the use of Guardian points into Luck and Artifacts that also increase Luck helped in that accord. As for secrets in the game, one pissed me off towards the end of my second playthrough as I had never bothered to wonder why it was there in the first.
  14. I'm about halfway through Borderlands 3, and I can't seem to get as 'into it' as BL1 and 2. I did get the full package deal at about 75% off, so I guess I'll just keep ignoring the storyline and plow through to the end. Really very happy that I can skip cutscenes, and finally can climb atop and over scenery (usually for more advantageous sniping and cover), but the game seems.....off somehow. Might be the fact that I'm more annoyed than amused at the dialogs and banter from the main NPCs and the Twins.
  15. Fallout 76 was a disaster waiting to happen from concept to launch. Bugthesda's secondary studio chosen for the title, the blatantly obvious failure of using the same Gamebryo engine for an online multiplayer without properly testing and addressing issues before selling the product (I say blatantly obvious; 76 being an asset flip from FO4 and all), the marketing was so over-hyped and sugar-coated at E3 I could feel the bile at the back of my throat, and the thoughts I had at the time of what online anticheat (you know, the coding that a usual MMO would employ) they'd use turned out to be ....NONE at ALL. The amount of actual development time was waayyy too short to trust a 'finished' product, especially one that attempted an online multiplayer with the modified Gamebryo, and I practically warned a few friends of mine not to waste money on it. And now I hear Starfield and ES6 are going to try to (again) patch over the G- engine when the next gen consoles appear. I'd facepalm hard enough to dent my skull, but I'm not into self abuse. Which also means, my 'Don't buy this crap until you KNOW it's not crap!' motto still stands.
