ElvenScoundrel Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I made this armor in NifSkope, and when I open it via the GECK, it crashes the program. Wat do?
gregathit Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 There likely is something wrong with it. It can be a variety of things that can cause the crash, so it is tough to guess at what the culprit could be.
ElvenScoundrel Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 This is the mesh. I think it has to do with the Bip thingies.
gregathit Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Um, I think the problem is that you have a ton of scene roots in it. You can only have "one" scene root (at the very top). Try renaming all of the scene roots to something else. When you are making your mashup, you are using the "block: copy branch" and the "block: paste branch" commands on the top scene root, right?
ElvenScoundrel Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Yessir, I am. For some reason, when I do that, branches get renamed.
gregathit Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 It should not ever rename anything. Make sure you have both copies of the nif file open in nifskope and then right click on the part you want to copy (make sure the part gets highlighted), select block\copy branch, then right click on the scene root text of the destination nif file and select block\past branch. If it still renames things then something is definitely wrong. If all else fails, post a zip with both nif files and I will see if I can create your mashup without things going bonkers.
ElvenScoundrel Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Yeah, it's really odd. Right now, I pasted a branch named UpperBody.001 and when pasted, it's now Bip01 L Thigh. I took things from different armorsets, so I'd have to hook you up with all the meshes.
