snagglepup Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 I had my Skyrim game "working", as well as Skyrim can, but at one point I left ModOrganiser running overnight and I changed nothing, I later, after restarting my computer, tried to launch Skyrim and now it crashes after anything at the menu. even if I disable all visible mods, it only works if I do a New profile. What's happened?
webb71 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 If there's one thing I've learned from troubleshooting this game all these years it's that even though you think nothing changed, something did. It just didn't ask your permission first. Naughty computer.

I have a feeling skse has stopped working properly, or something else related to plugins as when I do try to start a save sometimes I'll get errors saying I have outdated versions of plugins despite the fact they are the latest versions and have the highest priority Also is the archives list in the profile meant to only contain the unmanaged archives or should all of them be there?
RohZima Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 So it's crashing on load? Do you have a lot of animations installed? You could uninstall a few animation packs and re run fnis, to de register many animations and try again. When you load a new save and it works, can you then hop over to the older save that you can't load from the main menu? I doubt it is a problem with SKSE, but while you are trouble shooting, you can just load with the launcher and not even use it
