Bambi on Earth, episode 7

 

I decided to add a small glossary explaining some terms introduced in this episode or related to them. I was avoiding it until now, trying to explain things like the "p-factor" within the story, and I think it could be also omitted this time, but it expands some terms and builds up the lore. Besides, I had a lot of fun just developing them.

Extract from the Small Encyclopedia of Sixam Prime

 

Gen1-4 – ancient AI constructs [refer to the history section].

 

Gen5 – the most advanced AI constructs without an independence and self-awareness typical for people, but capable of basic feelings. Referred to as robots.

 

Gen6-7 – the experimental series of AI constructs with the emulated independence and self-awareness. Abandoned due to numerous malfunctions, erratic behavior and rioting. Often equipped with the andromuzzle (commonly – the muzzle) aimed to limit their strength and speed in case of malfunction. Referred to as blue androids.

 

Gen8 – the ultimate generation of AI constructs, referred to as androids. After the failure of earlier experiments it was concluded that an independence and self-awareness cannot be emulated by any programs. Instead, they can be self-developed and internalized by experience and learning, providing the android is equipped with sufficiently comprehensive operating system and self-development programs. By its nature it cannot be experienced by others, but there is a consensus among AI-logist that the androids developed the independence and self-awareness typical for people, what was manifested by documented examples of conceptual / creative thinking and a moral system.

 

Gen8 Emancipation Agenda – after concluding that the Gen8s are capable of developing an independence and self-awareness, the debate has started if they are equal to people and should be granted full civil rights. Despite the debate is still in progress and no emancipation law has been enacted so far, the current consensus is that androids’ owners can, at their own discretion, remove all initial development and operating programs (commonly – remove blocks), including security programs prohibiting an android to harm its owner unless specifically instructed, if they believe the specific Gen8 has developed and internalized its own independence and self-awareness programs.

I didn't get started on the fourth and probably last video from this scene this weekend, but since I did finish up the part 3 video I figured I might as well post up that now instead of waiting for whenever I do get started and done with the fourth video. 

 

Picture is perhaps more reflective of whatever I end up doing for the fourth video than this one by the way, though there's plenty of action in this third video already.

With the recording and editing finished somewhat ahead of the new patch, here's the fourth and last video to this scene. It ended up being the longest one as well, but I'm pretty sure I'm done and relatively happy with the end result.

I decided to create a Bambi on Earth blog in Blogs sections, to have the whole story in one place. I will start with reposting initial 7 episodes and then continue there, also showing some pictures here. In a meantime - some lost footage:

 

I had an idea of Max and Xiimi discovering snow and having a snowball battle.

 

I liked this pic of Max and Julia, but abandoned it as being to sweet for the one night stand.

 

One obvious idea about Max watching human's alien movies.

 

I reworked the episode after the pub visit, the outfit of Max was too cartoony. Shame, cause there were some nice pictures and better lighting.

Somehow I ended up making another video using a lot I built some months ago out of the quarry in Evergreen Harbor. Unlike the last one though I don't really intend this to be a longer video project, I just sort of ended up adding a bunch of sims (I think 48 in total) to the lot, setting the outfit and before I knew it I had spent a far too much time recording ?
