Game to bright please help

For some reason some mod screwed up my lighting and i deleted the mod. When i make a new save all is good but i want to fix it in my old save. The game is so bright that i can hardly see anything. Console command thdr seems to fix it but i think that kills all the lighting altogether and i just want to turn it down a bit. Im guessing then its hdr thats screwed up? But i dont know how to fix it.

Not sure what you may have done to increase your brightness, but the mods I generally use that affect brightness are my ENB preset, ELFX, Vivid Weather, Darker Nights, and ELE.  If a new game looks fine you might also try copying the ini files from a new game into your old one incase you're not sure what you changed in your ini settings.

Just thought of something else you could be having issues with since I just ran into it in my game as well.  I use Sacrosanct as my vampire mod which has it's own version of Night Eye.  I installed a mod called Night Eye Overhaul though and decided to replace Sacrosanct's version with the one from Night Eye Overhaul.  But since I had Sacrosanct's version active before I did that, there was no way to turn it off so basically I had night eye active all the time, and if I activated the Night Eye Overhaul version then it basically stacked so it was blindingly bright.  I had to rever to a save from before I did that, turn night eye off, and then replace the Sacrosanct version again with the one I want and now it works.

 

So if you did anything similar with mods that use image space to change brightness you could be having an issue like that.
