Toatedsnow Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 So I've been using CBBE for...since forever, hell if I know how long, and have gotten fairly used to it (hurrah for Bodyslide's powers of motivation ) Anyway, I read recently the (apparently) old news that UUNP is a superior in terms of visuals and thus, am debating a switch. That said, I have a few questions for those of you who make use of UUNP. By the way, I would be making use of Bodyslide2. Â 1. I assume that UUNP bodies are created in Bodyslide(2) are functionally identical in terms of cosmetics? I can use the same eye/hair/lash mods? 2. Can skin textures for CBBE work with UUNP bodies? Or should I stick to UNP textures and their variants (such as UNPB)? 3. Will CBBE Bodyslide armours/clothing work with UUNP bodies? This is assuming that HDT is involved in both cases. 4. Will UNP feet/hand replacers function with UUNP-created bodies? Similarly, will UNP jewelry/shoes function with UUNP-created bodies? 5. Since UUNP (allegedly) involves higher poly models, how does that translate in terms of performance? I would intend to use an NPC replacer for these bodies as well. 6. Would there be any significant issues in terms of animation? Â Lastly, I'm assuming that the skeleton (XPMSE) will not be an issue? Â Cheers mates
Guest Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 1) UUNP does not mess with the head mesh AFAIK. You should be good with anything on the head. 2) No. Only UNP textures, particularly those made for UUNP in general, will work with UUNP. I use PureSkinTexture but there are many different UUNP-based body textures for usage. 3) No. The body textures and meshes will look funky, depending on the armor, and won't conform to the UUNP body type you've chosen. 4) It varies. Halofarm's high-poly UNP feet and hands meshes work just fine with UUNP in my experience. As for jewelry and shoes, it should be fine, depending on the UUNP body you've chosen. 5) I have a powerful GPU (Nvidia GTX Geforce 1060 with 6GB of RAM) but since switching from CBBE I haven't had any noticeable performance changes. Unless you're planning on downloading UUNP vanilla clothing replacers as well, other female characters should still have the vanilla body until you strip them or give them UUNP armor. 6) With combat and normal Skyrim animations? I've noticed nothing. Some poses may have clipping issues due to body variants but that's inevitable and can easily be hidden with the proper camera angle on most occassions. Â XPMSE causes no issues. Reinstall it after installing UUNP and replace everything just to be safe, if you wanna.
cOJzZ Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 1. you can use the same eye/hair, but tattoo should use corresponding version. 2. uunp have different uv, so uunp can not use textures for cbbe. 3. They work, but won't work perfectly.(e.g. weird texture in body) 4. They work, but might not work perfectly. 5. Normally uunp don't hit your fps, but if you have too many nude npc it may cause problem. It all depends on your hardware. 6. Animations(I mean animations for sexlab, normal animations works fine.) designed for cbbe won't work perfectly on uunp. (It happened when you use a body different to that used by animation modders. Most modders use cbbe or 7b, just use mainstream bodies, or tweak the animations by yourself.)
Toatedsnow Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 Understood. Cheers to you two, you've been most helpful
