RedPassenger Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I tried to import this hair into skyrim and i CTD as soon as I equip it. I tried to open it in CK and it crashes CK too. So definitely something wrong with the meshes and how I imported them. Is anyone here willing to check these meshes out for me? I'm going insane with the amount of Skyrim modding recently. yatol Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 when that don't work, you just compare with a nif that work instead of bullshit guessing you have mess around wih some .obj imported in bodyslide or something? copy pasting weight on incomplete bsdismemberskin, game have no idea what to do with those weights, game can't load the nif, and when the game can't load something, ctd probably better to just delete you crap and redo it right, instead of trying to fix your mess if num verticle isn't what there is in nitrishape, it's no good (the ones that wonder why they ctd after deleting a part of the mesh)

I realise I've actually got nothing here under skin partition blocks: definitely a bad sign and most likely the problem of the ctd. I'll look into that.... however when I port out a fresh .nif (from .fbx btw) from blender I get a .nif with no BDismemberSkinInstance. So I am now lost as to how would I go about creating a proper BSDismemberSkinInstance besides copying the weights from another hair in outfit studio. I've attached the fresh exports which I've backed up. And they dont have BSDismemberSKinInstance and I guess its imperative to have them since without, I get invisible meshes in CK view. Can you or anyone maybe point the way to a tutorial that I can follow? *if that is, too complicated or lengthy to type it here* Many thanks. Aranea hair.nif
yatol Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 there's blender to skyrim tutos on nexus... if you attach the mesh to an armature, there's a bsdismemberskin

I'm gonna try to follow this guide here http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1 specifically from step 3.2.7 I hope I'm going the right direction...
cOJzZ Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 A shape must have at least one skin partition, or it will cause problem(like become invisible or ctd). Use "Make all skin partitions" in Nifskope can automatically produce skin partitions. Blender to export nif script, check this https://skyrimshot.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-101.html
RedPassenger Posted April 30, 2018 Author Posted April 30, 2018 'NifExport' object has no attribute 'get_object_matrix' I get this error when exporting it from blender after applying weights and armature deform....
