Sims 4 wicked whims mod: electronic arts folder is missing

Hi! I really wanna play this game but for some reason when I tried to install my wicked whims this message would show up.

I thought it was because I put my Sims 4 on an external hard drive so I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it. I also ended up redownloading the wickedwhims mod just in case there was something wrong with that. I also started the game selecting the options to allow custom content in the system then exiting afterward. I checked to install the actual mod again but the same messaged popped up. Did someone have the same problem and were you able to fix it?
