Darkening Demise Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Ever sick and tired of using Wicked Whims and the furniture fades away when you get a close look at the action? Well you could use TAB but then you have to press it again to play the game and the camera gets moved around. Very frustrating. So here's a simple tutorial to make your very own No Fade mods. 1. Download Sims 4 Studio (you need an account) and install it. Open the program. 2. Select Override under Object 3. Click Object 4. Select what you want to not fade and click Next in the lower right hand corner 5. Save your mod package file with a name. You may have to save it on your desktop instead of main documents or downloads or whatever you have 6. Now don't get overwhelmed this is easy. Just select Warehouse and then scroll through the list till you find Model. Click Model and then on the right side select Data 7. Scroll down till you see LODS and the U1, U2, U3, etc. 8. Make sure all the U1, U2, U3, U4, and U5 are all zeros 9. Click Save in the lower right corner and wait for your confirmation window. Click OK 10. Close Sims 4 Studio and move the package file into your Sims 4 mods folder 11. ???? 12. Profit If you did it right the object in question no longer fades at all. It should also have the mod icon (wrench) in Build Mode so now it counts as a mod remember when sharing lots on the Gallery. Your lots will be considered modded when using the No Fade objects. 3
MEN0PER@ Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Thank you for this workaround I've been itching my head around this one for sometime I do get frustrated when certain buy/build objects do this especially the in-game columns. Is there a way to Mod the game camera entirely so it wont cause the object fade? I dont mind doing the work yet maybe theres another alternative? Thanks again for posting this
torigoth Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) It didn't work for me. Is there a different method for custom objects? Edited September 8, 2021 by torigoth
