When two females have sex, whether one is the player character or whether you are watching a couple in the theater the sex talk is kind of wonky.  One of them suddenly has a dick and balls (according to the dialog, they don't actually have them).  It's a little disconcerting, the pro-nouns are gender appropriate, referring to her dick, her balls etc.  This is not with a transgender character.  Is this an error or is it just not finished yet?  Like the new improvements to the game like range appropriate search filter and being able to see how long it takes to get from one place to another.

FF and MM just haven't been implemented yet - They will eventually have their own animations and descriptions.

It will help people with the type of download it is. Then you can give the info (name) of the download for the service used. This is just a suggestion but I have used it for my mega downloads and it is now more visible for people to see. Honestly I missed the third download option the two tries I have done recently. :frown:

 

another note. I keep on trying the first one on the list and it never works for me. I end up with errors.

The second one takes an extremely long time to download ( I believe it is googledrive)

I've played the game for quite a long time and had no issues at all.
It looks very nice and I'd say it has a lot of potential.
I'm currently making a module for testing purposes, and so far all is good.
Maybe the models could be a little better (I've played with the morph sliders) but they are still a bit bulky, especially the girls.
I wish there was a Hip slider (maybe there is and I've missed it) and the breasts sliders wouldn't take so much trial and error to figure it out. Still can't control the breasts in a intuitive way.
I'm creating some dialogue scenes, and trying to get  stats to the descriptions but none of the code I tried seamed to work. Example (Actor.(Age)) - Not sure how to do it yet.
I'll have to give the manual a read though, and then try again. Other than that all works :smile:
The idea is to have a bit of information about the actors, Ex: age, gender preference, etc - within the dialogue in the scene where they met or are introduced by a common friend.

I find your game very interesting and wish you luck with its development. Also I want to share some of my thoughts about it with you:
1. Editing places on map. During edit of places on map it would be great to see that kind of place it’s currently. Also insead instant application of new place type after choosing it, it would be nice to have "Apply" button for confirmation of your choice.
2. Clickability issue. Sometimes I find it hard to click on a place, especially if my character already in it. As result navigation can turn into tiresome pixel hunting
3. Sex scene cancellation. Currently sex scenes lock you in game without way to cancel it. It would be convenient to have a way to end it instantly.

I was able to play the game using the 64 bit version with no problems.  I am enjoying the game so far. Thank you.

Running the 64bit version and every thing is working great except in one triggered scene when a male friend invites me out but says to leave my boyfriend at home the next part where my dominant partner accuses me of going of with a load of horny guys the game locks up. its done the same on all 3 times this trigger has come up.

 

Other then that issue I'm loving the game so thank you for making it xx

LifePlay v1.3 Released!

- Added family interactions (you can add family members in the Contacts menu - shortcut P) with 69 new scenes
- Added a new optional module for incest with 61 new scenes
- Added options to start a relationship, quit job and move out of your home anytime you wish
- Minor improvements and bug fixes

Hey @vinfamy i have a question about the game, im using the 1.3v and it looks good with the options... specially those 2 about Quitting a Job & the Apartment the player have (because before those options, if 1 moved with their BF/GF... most of them live like HOURS away... i always ended with around 4/5 hs to travel from my Work to my House/bf-gf house)

 

And well that was quite a problem... lol my character was very tired (same do i lol)

 

But well.. about the question...

 

How, one can... have a Family?

 

I mean, the new option you added it's good.. really.

 

But i mean, when you are in a Relationship (or not) how many times the player need to have sex with the other to make pregnant X character (or one self)

 

And another thing...

 

Since i been playing it, there are lines about "getting married" and all that..

 

So here is the other question...

 

When one could get married with their Relationship? and... if that happen and your bf/gf cheat on you... 

 

You could get a Divorce?

 

 

I mean, will you put it kind like in Real Life about a Divorce and else?

 

Then... there are the Business things...

 

Vehicle Shops & Police Stations. ¿what are their functions?

 

I mean, about Vehicle Shops, it would be nice if one could for example: I buy a CAR.. and if i go to X place of the map with the Vehicle i could go Faster.. 

 

Example: i moved with my Fiance, but i work 4/5 hs away from my Actual Workplace... with a Car, i could reduce the time by 1.5/2 hs.. or with a Motorbike, 2/3 hs...

 

That would be great! (specially if one doesn't know about the new options to quit the job & their houses)

There's no marriage system in the game yet.

You can however add family members (press P > add Relative) and specify them as your (adult) children.

I'll add car travel in the next version

first off a big thanks for fixing the only bug id run in to in the night out with out boyfriend my game has run so much smoother since that fix so as some one that loves your mods for games I play anyway I kind of feel bad asking for more from a  game you have made from scratch but if its at all possible id really love the option to sell me self on a street corner or night club in a future update as it is a real fantasy of mine as a happily married mother of 4 but if its possible or not once again I thank you again for a fun game you have made.

There will be an update eventually in the future that focuses entirely on prostitution

Are you using the 'Randomize Buildings' feature? This can be quite heavy on performance if you set the percentages too high

 

Also, in Esc > Settings, you can try lowering the Post Process Quality if the crashes are graphic card related

LifePlay is coming along well. I'm impressed with the number of features you have already.

However, there are a number of deficiencies that need to be addressed as quickly as possible since they're important and the longer you wait the more work it will be.

 

Big problems:

1. Cooldown on player actions is unacceptable, unless it absolutely makes no sense to do anything else. If I want to go apparel shopping at ten different stores throughout the city, I should be able to - there is absolutely no reason to make it so I can only shop once a day. I can't think of ANY player actions, at the present time, which justify a cooldown. Remove all of them.

2. There needs to be more event categorization for random events. I meet random people while watching movies at home, for example. You should probably qualify events as "public", "private", and "solo" - public meaning you're out in public (doesn't matter where - the store, a bar, a park, whatever) which means you can encounter random strangers and such, private meaning at home (or at someone else's house) so the only people you can encounter are who live there (or maybe their friends/relatives/lovers), and private meaning when the player is alone (bathing, masturbating, etc).  Most events should be filtered by public/private/solo; some should be filtered by action (which you're already doing, so that's good), and some by specific location.

3. The player needs a LOT more control over interactions with other characters, ESPECIALLY characters they live with. Ideally people in the player's contact list should have a home assigned to them (either with the player or a different home), a place of work, and a schedule for when they are home, work, etc. If a character lives in a different house, the player should be able to visit them when they are at home. For characters living with the player, you should make it more granular - they should have a rough schedule for when they bathe, when they masturbate, when they eat, and so forth. You should have options for the player to (depending on the PC attributes and their relationship to the NPC) do special interactions with them depending on what the NPC is doing at the time. Some would ignore the NPC schedule (aside from whether they are at home or not), such as hanging out with that character, and others (peeping on the NPC getting changed) would require that the NPC be getting changed at that time.

4. Events need to proc more predictably. For example, I should have a MUCH higher chance of meeting strangers when doing "socialize" at a bar or coffee house than, say, while shopping (but it should still be possible to meet strangers in any public area).

5. Events should proc when the player is idle, based on location. Right now, you HAVE to be doing something specific to get events. And since events are literally the only way to do anything, that means that the player has to click the same 3 buttons OVER AND OVER AND OVER again to make anything happen.

6. A lot of actions should be open-ended, instead of having a set duration/start/end. For example, I should be able to go to a bar when it opens and click "Socialize" and have the player simply socialize until the bar closes, if I don't do anything else. I shouldn't have to micromanage everything. Another option is to allow the player to input how long they want to socialize (or drink, or pray, or whatever) for in minutes, but that would be inferior to making those interactions open-ended.

7. There is no way to interact with stuff like the PC's vlog, porn channel, or similar. There should be a way to do all of those things instead of waiting for the game to randomly proc the event.

8. If you want a decent life simulator, you MUST program in fertility cycles for female characters instead of having a flat percentage. You should also make it so a PC knows female NPC cycles if they have high enough interpersonal+intelligence (it's not hard to figure out if you spend time with a woman if she's PMSing or not, and women act differently while ovulating too), and a female PC should know her own fertility if her intelligence isn't too low.

9. Sex dialogue and narration needs to be more situational. It should reflect the relationship of the two partners, and sex scenes should read very differently between strangers, friends, lovers, and family members. There also needs to be narration for special sex scenes - for example, the revenge incest event should acknowledge how sordid and dirty it is to fuck a family member out of revenge. Hetero sex should also reflect the fertility of the female NPC in the scene, assuming the PC knows (or has a good chance of knowing) the fertility of the female character in question, especially in terms of the situation - it's very different to have unprotected sex while ovulating with a stranger than it is a boyfriend, and both are different from risking impregnation from one's uncle. It also makes sense for the male partner to act differently if he knows the female is fertile, depending on his relation to her, his perversion, etc.

10. There needs to be a lot less "click-through" with events. We're not at 640x480 these days - you can fit more than 1-2 sentences on the screen at a time now. I shouldn't have to click half a dozen times to read ten sentences.

11. The fact that you can't invite out family members socially is really weird. It also means that the "incest" stat is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to raise, since 90% of the interactions raise it by 1-2 at most, and you can't even do anything substantial until you hit 25-50. It can take in-game months or years to raise it that high, which is both implausible and tedious. (It doesn't help that, right now, the stat isn't raised by events anyway. I viewed the "incestuous tension" stat in the stat editor after doing about 10 scenes with a specific character, and the value was still 0.

12. A lot of incest events don't lead to sex that should. For a high perversion PC, especially with a high incest level with a given NPC, having it so the "watching NPC masturbating", morning wood, sleep touching, and several others don't potentially lead to sex makes no sense.

13. A lot of events need to be flag-driven, not stat-driven. The "repeat incest" event simply checks incest > 90, instead of checking that the characters have previously had sex. This means you can get it, in theory, when you've never had any overtly sexual interaction with that character at all.

14. The idea of separating the "porn plot" from "normal sex" isn't bad, but it's not uncommon, in this day & age, for people to have a 10 minute conversation on Tinder and meet up to fuck. A lot of the "stat gates" you've put in the game don't make a ton of sense in the hookup culture seen in large cities such as London.

15. There are WAY too many buildings too close together. It may be more "realistic", since there can be a dozen shops in the same small building, but it's a royal pain in the butt to find the one you want when mousing over.

16. The facial expressions are, frankly, frightening. Smiling looks like ALL TEETH or ALL GUMS and is really creepy. There are also serious clipping issues in sex animations. The sooner you work out a way to e.g. make penises stay INSIDE the partner's body during penetration, the better.

17. You probably need a little more variety in sex animations. The ones you have are actually really good, but they get monotonous. Each sex interaction should have 2-3 animations that you play randomly so it doesn't get quite as stale. More variations is better, within reason, but just 2-3 would be enough for now.

18. NPC randomization is really, really bad. Literally half the NPCs I encounter are enormously fat. Your stat sliders permit levels of obesity which would make it nearly impossible for the person to leave the house without mechanical assistance. This is a sex game, as well as a life sim; you should sacrifice realism when it seriously impedes sexiness. Maybe add a "BBW" module for people who like more cushion for the pushin'.

19. Events seem to proc WAY too infrequently, and fast-forwarding the game makes it worse. I'm playing to DO stuff, not watch the screen get light and dark repeatedly. Even when doing actions, if the game speed is high, I get interactions every 1-3 days. That's crazy. However, it also makes sense for the player to want to advance time fast, sometimes. Making a toggle that influences RANDOM events is a good idea. In other words, I should be able to choose between "Looking out for interesting stuff" (high event frequency), "Minding my own business" (middle/low event frequency), or "Avoiding people" (no random events at all). This wouldn't influence events that aren't affected by PC choice - for example, it still makes sense for a perverted room mate to peep on the PC in the shower, no matter how much the PC is minding their own business, or missing panties, or realizing the PC is pregnant, or even that a person the PC lives with is pregnant - that sort of thing. Basically, if you can avoid the event by silencing your phone and not looking at/talking to anyone, the toggle should affect it.

20. Clothes look really, really, really weird. Most clothes look like they kind of... like they're incredibly thick and bulky and ugly. The characters in general seem rather lumpy, especially the arms (ESPECIALLY the elbows and shoulders) and faces. Torsos and legs aren't bad, though.

 

 

Little problems/bugs:

1. There needs to be a hotkey for skipping text.

2. Doctor's visits need to reveal pregnancy.

3. Clicking too fast through events causes player choice buttons to become temporarily unresponsive. (If you stop clicking ANYTHING for several seconds, they work again)

4. Building icons are often randomly invisible. They also move around like crazy. They NEED to stay in one place and be visible all the time. If there are too many to render properly, you need to thin the buildings (see major item #15)

5. It's not obvious how to close the detailed player stats popup.

6. You should add a way to pause after current action. It's boring to watch a character sleep, but if you fast-forward too much, you end up losing half the day.

7. A way to queue actions wouldn't hurt.

8. Search results should indicate building distance.

 

Other:

1. The sex narration has a lot of grammatical issues and/or awkward phrasing. Most of it will be smoothed away with some editing; some of it just needs to be rewritten. The bigger problem, though, is that the scenes use the same narration for first and third person scenes. With a game like this, that doesn't work very well, because with first person it's the PC narrating, and he/she knows what they are thinking and feeling, along with what they are doing. The third person narrations are the PC watching someone else doing stuff, and the focus is purely on what is happening, along with what the PC thinks they might be thinking or feeling. Trying to mix the two together is awkward and conflicting.

 

I know that's a pretty big list of issues, and I don't want to discourage you. Your concept is great, the progress you've made so far is impressive, and this could EASILY become the life simulator if you keep up the good work.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I will address some of these issues immediately in the next version (most importantly the bug where the incest stat doesn't increase) and others in the future.

On the infrequent scene triggering, you can change the Scene Frequency in the Esc > Settings. Or for specific scenes, you can go into their lpscenes and change the timeout line.
