TheAssman Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Hi, new to Skyrim modding and have a question about body textures. I've noticed that for a lot of content creators in their screenshots they will have different characters but with different UNP texture varieties. For instance they will be using SG Renewal and one character will be a Nord using the 4K with pubic hair version and one will be an Orc but using the clean shaved scarred version. How do they do this? When I install the optional files they seem to just overwrite the previous version. Is there a way to just switch between the UNP textures in the racemenu or something? Sorry for so many questions, thanks.
purpleton Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 I believe the way they do this is by creating a specific race for each individual character. You may notice this when downloading custom characters/companions that they have a unique race attached to them so they can have a different body type and set of textures. I may be wrong but that's the basic idea behind it.
TheAssman Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Not sure how specifically change each race, I only see femalehead_msn.dds in the character folder
trasberny Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 There's this. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47791/ Or you can change the textures and meshes manually through Creation Kit.
Distortedrealms Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Putting it simply my character is a Lunari so I made custom UUNP bodyslide meshes, and 4k Adorable face/demoniac textures and exchanged them in the lunari folders so my character is now 100% unique. You can do the above to standalone followers too, change their body meshes/textures to make them different from the other npcs in the world.
