Wavent Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 So I went through modding Oblivion a fourth time from scratch and this it's the most successful modding by far. At least that's what I would like to say, but I can't. So as anyone who uses Wrye Bash knows, once the Bash Patch is finished you get a window with a yellow background informing that the Patch is complete. In my case though I am not getting that window for some reason. Instead I get new window with a bunch of code on it talking about lines and bosh and such that I don't really understand. I've gotten this result several times before in previous modding attempts, and I've learned it to mean there's something up with one or a couple of mods. I figured to best way to find out where the issue lies was to uncheck everything in the Bash menu, tick one box, Rebuild and see the results. As it turns out the area that causes the window of code to appear is the Race Records section. I've tried deselecting everything then ticking one box at a time to see which mods are causing it, but whenever I build, I get the same window of code, then when I check the Race Records, the boxes I had unchecked were automatically rechecked. As of now I have no way I finding out which mods in Race Records is causing this to happen. I'm going to unload a picture of what mods are in that section so anyone curious could have a look. Any suggestions would be helpful. On a smaller note: Even though I have unlimited rings and amulets checked under the Tweak Clothes section, it never seems to work. Anyone know why? Thanks in advance for your assistance!
gregathit Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Deselect all of your "race tweaks" and then rebuild your bashed patch and see if you have errors. I don't know that the race tweaks ever worked worth a damn. As for the rings\amulets - are you certain that you don't have any mods below your bashed patch that could be overwriting this? You might post your load order just in case.
Wavent Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 The race tweaks have never presented an issue before, that's why I find it so unusual that they're becoming an issue now. The Bash finishes the way it's suppose to without Race Records on, so I guess the bigger question is, do I really need Race Records? Symon Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Many versions of Wrye bash to not take kindly to non English character sets. Try seeing which of your mods have Chinese, Japanese or Russian in the esp/esm.
gregathit Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I have never used race records myself and I am running MBP\MBP++\x117 and XeoSP++ and never had any issues. Maybe I am just lucky. On a side note, why do you have all three of these: SetBody.esp AutoSetBody.esp SetBody_BB.esp I am pretty sure you are only supposed to be running autosetbody and "one" of the other setbody esp files. I could be wrong but...... Lastly, these two AGodlySetofGear.esp and Moneybutton.esp should be much higher up in your load order. Never put a clothing\armor mod at the very bottom of your load order. The top 1/3 of your load order is the better spot for them.
Wavent Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Well I went with your suggestions and made the changes necessary, and everything is working fine now! I was worried about how not having Race Records would effect anything but everything is still the same. I also got rid of SetBody_BB since it was unnecessary, and the infinite rings and amulets are working as well. Thanks for you help!
gregathit Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Just glad you are working! Happy Gaming, Greg
