Equipping SMP equipment makes 'turning around' smoother ?!

Is it just me or is the mere fact of equipping an SMP clothing/armor makes you ACTUALLY turn around rather than *pop* into the direction. It looks really REALLY good.

You can see me unequipping a dummy SMP armor (I deleted the mesh) and equipping it again.

 

I have no idea if this is well known but just having a dummy SMP armor can save lives with HDT armor.

HDT recently updated the smp plugin with this feature added. It seems PE gears benefit more from it, which is amazing.

I've heard the mod Scrolling Speed also creates smoothing turning as a side effect. So you may have the same improvement in HDT from using that mod.

Does it fix the instant turning when going from left strafing to right strafing? If so i might have to install smp just for this feature.
