Icarus- Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I was trying to get rid of the darkface bug by loading skyrim.esm and my npc replacers esp in CK and exporting all facegendata of all npcs (ctrl+f4), it generated like a skyrim.esm folder with 1.4gb space and didnt generate actually a folder for the npc replacer mod, i'm wondering if i actually just exported all vanilla skyrim or exported the mod but it merged with skyrim, i'm so confused. ANYWAYS, now my skyrim crashes whenever i meet any npc, go to wherever theres any npc, i've aleadry started a new game and its the same thing, i try removing the skyrim folder, nothing happens. Can anyone help me please? i beg you.

If it was downloaded the facegen data should already be included, in which case the dark faces are probably caused by another mod editing the same npc forms. This is usually fixed by moving the replacer mod as close to the end of the load order as possible so that it loads after any other mod that edits the same forms.

Sure but how can i fix the crashing by the facegen now? moving out the skyrim esm folders generated in facegen>tint and facegen>facegeom dont make the game not crash even if i start a new game

The .esp maybe have been corrupted.

It is normal for it to create a skyrim.esm folder for vanilla npcs. If the mod adds new npcs to the game only then will it use folders with the same name as the .esp.

Good news i reinstalled it and now theres no grey faces and all replacers are like now down at the list. Although i'm sure if i use LOOT its gonna ruin everything. I'm also planning on using another replacer that i want over some characters that are aleadry replaced, should i just put them under the ones i just reinstalled?

Yes, the last one loaded will be the one that is used by the game.

I was playing a little, and then i got attacked by a monster, i quicksaved, i died, and once i reloaded the game i got caught in the ''any area with npcs crash the game'' thing again, and i have no idea why, i reinstalled the npc replacer again but that didnt fix it. if only a crashlog told me the problem but theres not a single, i have no idea which esm is having this

You have a lot of mods that I don't recognize. To start I recommend loading all your mods in Tes5edit and check for conflicts, and if you haven't already make sure your skeleton is up to date. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000 You may also want to check the mod pages for any mods you recently installed before the problem started happening. There might be known incompatibilities or other issues listed.

Fifoo Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 40. ElinRace_Voice.esp 113. ElinRaceVoice.esp Are these two coming from the same mod install?

You can enable your papyrus logging in Documents/My Games/Skyrim. Make sure you have this in skyrim.ini: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableProfiling=1 bEnableTrace=1 The next time your game crashes go to Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Logs/Script and upload Papyrus0.log here.

Papyrus.0.log

Papyrus.0.log The papyrus seemed to be having trouble with 3dNPC right before the crash, but I don't know if that is significant or not. This issue is probably out of my league and at this point the only thing I can recommend is to install Crash Fixes. It apparently provides detailed crash logs, but I don't use it because it doesn't play nicely with some SKSE mods and makes my game nearly unplayable. It's probably worth installing temporarily though just to get a proper crash log. If I remember correctly you will need to disable the SKSE memory patch as it is incompatible with Crash Fixes. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725?tab=description You can also try to verify the integrity of your game files. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638 https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 My favorite solution however, is to delete everything and do a fresh install. It's lazy but it saves a lot of time.
Icarus- Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 3Dnpc..interesting npcs, i'm going try replacing the mods files and see if it fixes it.. Not sure how to fresh install when i have so many mods.

Nevermind i got the logs. crash_2018_03_19_14-23-52.txt this one is the one the mod generates once i made it do it. and theres this simple one that generates in the other folder its a address but is there a way to follow it to know what it leads to? http://prntscr.com/iteb2v

My guess is that the log would either go somewhere in Documents/My Games/Skyrim, or in Data/SKSE. If you already have Crash Fixes then you may have SKSE plugins that don't play nicely together. Ironically Crash Fixes itself be causing problems. To do a fresh install you would need to uninstall the game files as well as your mods. Clean out your game cache before reinstalling. It's a pain in the ass, but at least you know that a fresh install can be done within a few hours, as opposed to days or weeks of troubleshooting with no guarantee of a solution.

I was hoping for something understandable like "This or that .esp is broken, get rid of it", but I guess that would be too easy. Did you check your game files integrity?
