m3dicat3d Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hello all, this is my first post here at LL. I'm way new to using mods for Oblivion and have just gotten back into PC gaming after a about a ten year absence, so bear with the noobness if you can First I want to thank Razarkis for his install guide post, one of the best sets of instructions I've seen on just about anything, and handy as hell with all the links and images. I'll likely follow up a post with specific questions I noticed when using it, but I'll cut to the chase for now... I've been researching as much as I can in the past week, and fighting the overwhelmed feeling and the intimidation factor as best as possible. Been using OBMM, Wyre Bash, and I "think" I figured out how to use BOSS for sorting orders. One question though... I understand BOSS is great for non-Lovers mods, but pretty awful at Lovers mods themselves, so I'm wondering how one goes about determining the sorting order for Lovers mods when you can't trust BOSS regarding them. If I look at my sorting order (pasted below) the Lover's are kinda mixed within and I have no idea how to seperate them out or arrange them as it were. How do you guys know how to order your Lovers mods, if I could find that out it would be a great relief. EXCELLENT site/community btw, I love the work but I really love the attitude of this community...REALLY awesome ppl, I can't stress that enough!!! This is what the load order is adjusted to in Wyre Bash after loading BOSS (assuming I'm even using right)... just not sure how to figure out the order for those lovely loversmods *scratches head* • 00 Oblivion.esm • 01 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm • 02 Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esm [Version 1.33] • 03 Lovers with PK.esm • 04 CM Partners.esm • 05 x117race.esm • 06 Chanpon.esm • 07 DLCShiveringIsles.esp • 08 Luchaire's Neck Seam Concealer.esp • ++ MaleBodyReplacerV5.esp • 09 Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esp [Version 1.33] • 0A Abriael_Human.esp • 0B Apachii_Goddess_Store.esp • 0C Knights.esp • 0D LoversProstitute.esp [Version 0.25a] • 0E LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp • 0F LoversSlavePlay.esp • 10 LoversImmoralGuards.esp • 11 Lovers with PK.esp [Version 90] • 12 LoversRapeSlave.esp • 13 LoversMagic.esp • 14 LoversMB2.esp • 15 Denock Arrows.esp • 16 realArchery_eng.esp • 17 TmeppExtendedAcro.esp • 18 CM Partners.esp • 19 DiabloEF 6 in 1.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Disable BandBlindMask.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Vanilla Race.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged Hair Modules.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged Eye Modules.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged SKSRENs Hair Modules.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged RoseSims Hair Modules.esp • ++ x117 Merged SKSRENs Hair Modules.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed CustomRace.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Chocolate Elves.esp • 1A LoversMagic-Japanese.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Cute Elves.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Nec Mystic High Elf Remake.esp • 1B Beautiful People 2ch-Ed MS Elves - NoSc.esp • ++ Beautiful People 2ch-Ed ENG Race.esp • 1C x117race.esp • ++ x117Race ENG Race.esp • 1D Lop-ears Elf.esp • 1E CM Partners NPC.esp • 1F CM Partners Extra NPCs.esp • 20 cmKittyCole.esp • 21 Companion_Ab_Human_2.esp • 22 Colourwheels Sexy Oblivion OverHaul.esp • 23 Bashed Patch, 0.esp • 24 LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp • 25 LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp • 26 TmeppDoubleTap.esp
Guest ThatOne Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Welcome to LL! There's a userlist.txt file in your data folder. You can tell boss to place mods after\before specific mods there (the readme explains everything). Also, you can sort the Lovers mods by hand using obmm, Check the example load order here, and fix yours according to it: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6133
m3dicat3d Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Wow, that was FAST! Thanks! Just to make sure I'm reading you right here, the example list is basically the default order concerning Lovers/MBP mods, so I go through it, and make sure that whatever I have in my mod list is arranged in the same order as the example list, disregarding the stuff in the example list that i don't have installed, correct? Now when it comes to looking at the Recognised Plug-ins list in the BOSS window (I'm assuming that window is what is giving me my correct load order?) I'm basically "combining" the two orders, just making sure that the example Lovers list is ahdered to in terms of it's order? I guess what I'm trying to ask is since I have an example load order for Lovers now, do I use that as the Primary order for what's in that list, and then use the BOSS window to make sure everything that's not in the Lovers list is ordered in between what occurs in the primary list (sorry if that's confusing, I'm actually a bit confused still myself) here's what's in the BOSS window for me right now (I just deleted the tag suggestions, etc to clean up the list some...) gregathit Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 To follow the KISS principle you should: 1. Run BOSS to sort your primary load order. 2. Then hand sort your lovers and other unrecognized plugins either with OBMM or Wrye Bash. 2a. You can also run a Lovers friendly "userlist" for BOSS that "will" recognize and properly organize lovers files. Link to a sample lovers userlist: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6350 The reason for the userlist is that the BOSS materlist is absolutely retarded as to how it sorts lovers files. Some additional advice: 1. Move all your CM partners mods up to just under your official dlc (shivering isles). 2. Keep all your armor mods (if you add any up in the top of your load order - above OOO is best). 3. Move all your lovers files down to just above your Beautiful people esp files. 4. Merge all your Beautiful people esp files into your bashed patch (you can see which ones to merge here: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6133 5. LoversRapeSlave.esp and LoversSlavePlay.esp aren't going to do anything for you unless you install RaperS.
m3dicat3d Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Thanks Greg, your advice is appreciated, I'll be taking all of that and doing what I can with it
